Chapter 58: Chap55. Banquet of the dead
Those present were freed from the illusion after Tony, Anko, and Karin clean up the scene to leave no trace of the ambush. The genin looked around somewhat confused, they had the feeling that something was wrong but they couldn't point out what it was. The nobles, on the other hand, were amazed to see that they suddenly had a new dish on the menu: Assorted Mushrooms with Sauce.
Tony only hesitated for a moment before letting them eat the mushrooms. After all, the transformation had been complete, so technically, it wasn't cannibalism. Although he would never try it, of course. He had standards!
"You really can't stay until the end of dinner?" Dido asked.
—I'm afraid not —Anko denied as she raised a scroll with her hand— We received an emergency communication and we have to leave immediately. Fortunately, the only thing left to do is finish the meal and clean up, so we're not needed here.
"I see, it's unavoidable if it's an emergency," Hazo nodded reluctantly. "In that case, let me thank you for fulfilling my request in such a magnificent way." This banquet will be talked about for years!
After exchanging a few pleasantries, Tony's team left without wasting time. There was still one jonin to finish and he didn't want to put it off too long, so they invented the emergency call.
The scroll that Anko showed? I was blank!
—Wait —Anko stopped the team while a snake came out of his sleeve and they communicated— I see. The jonin decided that he could not be saved and took the initiative to activate an immolation seal so as not to leave traces that lead to Danzo.
"What about the two remaining chunin?"
"Let's just say my little ones have had their own banquet too," Anko teased.
Tony wasn't entirely calm, so he decided to do what any smart transmigrant would do. Check the progress of the mission!

"Let's go back to the village," Tony said. "We can't give Danzo time to react.

With another puff of smoke, the team disappeared, reappearing in a hidden room Tony had prepared in advance in Konoha, in one of the basements of his chain store.
"What do we have to do now?" Karin asked as she patted little Alcremie on her shoulder, she closed her eyes in delight at her soft touch.
"Should we notify Tsunade-sama?" —Anko wasn't very sure what to do next either. They had the ROOT bodies in the storage scrolls, but Danzo could excuse himself by accusing them of treason for attacking his men without reason. It would still be his word against hers.
"Wait a minute," Tony told him, "Summoning Technique!"
But after the smoke cleared, there was nothing in sight.
"Did your summon fail or did the contracted beast die?" Tayuya asked with a frown.
"No problem," Tony commented as he turned his head to an empty spot to his right. "Meleoron, did you get what I asked for?"
"It always amazes me how you manage to see through my Perfect Plan!" a voice replied. "It's not funny."
A silhouette began to blur, revealing a chimera ant in the shape of a chameleon man in a gray sweatshirt and sweatpants. Karin screamed, Anko widened her eyes and Tayuya gave her a death glare. None of them could feel her presence.
-Did you have any problems? Tony wanted to know.
"I ran into some troublesome seals along the way, but nothing I couldn't deal with. Honestly, for a hidden and secret place, it's too easy to enter it —Meleoron laughed as she showed a few scrolls held by her tail —Here is everything you wanted. Conspiracy records against the Senju clan with evidence of the Third Hokage's involvement, the order to desecrate the graves of various founding clans, Hashirama's eye and cell transplant, the truth of the Uchiha clan's attack, all the shady deals and hidden deals of Danzo with the other villages, the kidnappings of various noble clans, the contacts and spies planted in the leaf village, their plans to deal with you, too…

The System's mission demanded that he kill Danzo, but it wasn't necessary for him to do it in person and he didn't want to do it if possible. With the eyes he has, the seal on his body, his summoning and everything else, it was suicide for him to face Danzo on his account. Even more so if he wants to keep some secrets up his sleeve.
So let the village deal with him.
Anko led them through the less guarded paths and they reached the door of the Hokage's office in less than two minutes. They knocked on the door and after receiving an answer, they entered.
"Are you back yet?" —Tsunade looked surprised and frowned when she saw her expression — What happened?
