Chapter 34: War

The " Skill Activate [ Divine Flame]" Bushche spoke as once again he incinerated a horde of demons.

The demons were attacking various parts of the border and Bushche had been sent to deal with them. This was the last human stronghold that he had come to defend. After dealing with five unusual high-ranking demon ogres and a large number of demons he looked around.

Numerous humans lost thier lives because Bushche had arrived late. And for that, He didn't blame himself but blamed fate for thier deaths. His gaze shifted to a human with crystal wings flying in the air who slowly glided towards him.

The man had unique grey color hair and was wearing a black military uniform with the symbol of the sun printed over it. Upon landing the man kneeled in front of Bushche.

"...I am the commander of the 564th elite force, Ren Aurilion." He spoke.

" You can raise your head commander," Bushche spoke and then introduced himself, " I am Bushche Morthar."

Ren already knew who he was talking to and for some reason, he hesitated to look him in the eyes. He felt that Bushche was staring at him in a very intimidating manner.

" Commander Ren, can you please gather the people who have survived on the battlefield." He requested.

After that Ren used communication and ordered every soldier who survived, even the people who were severely injured to gather behind the wall. Bushche stood at the wall, waiting for every soldier to gather behind the walls.

" My lord, the survivors have gathered," Ren informed Bushche.

" Skill Activate [ Divine Flame]" He once again activated his skill and the humans were covered in golden flames. He also directed some of the flames toward Ren, at first the soldiers felt like they were being punished but soon realized that the flames were returning thier strength.

' This is what he had used before, but why again.' Ren thought back to when Bushche had come here.

Upon being healed by the Divine flames everyone in the soldiers cheered for the priest. He then turned towards Ren and again looked at him in an intimidating manner.

" I had to do this in case there is any demon hiding in a human form among your soldiers," Bushche spoke.

" I am grateful, my lord," Ren spoke.

" Commander Ren then, can I ask you a favor? Contact your family and tell them that you want to help a certain man named Jin who belongs to the Wolf Slayer Guild," Bushche asked, " Also, No-one else apart from us shall ever find out that I have requested you for such favor."

Ren was surprised to suddenly hear this request but he didn't waste much time thinking about the matter.

" I will do as you wish, " He answered.

" You said we will not be able to talk again for a long time, right?" Dave asked.

[ I did say that but because you were trying to do something stupid, I have to waste my power]

" Don't blame it on me, if you haven't consumed those items then my life would have been much easier. I could have easily beaten that White mask guy, and I could have also beaten that tomboy lady." Jin started to shout, " I would have never thought of taking the weapons from here."

[ Why do you need to do that? You can let that guild be destroyed, it's beneficial for you]

[ You can run away into that Jade garden, I had given you that Explore skill for that very reason]

" Oh don't remind me of that! You have eaten a very good skill."

[ I am sorry if you wanted ' Hint' that badly but that skill would not have been as useful to you as you think]

" I...have to save that guild. That girl had worked hard for it." Dave spoke.

[ That girl means nothing to you, she is just someone that you want recognition from. You want people to admire you...Aren't you a very needy and selfish person? You do things that you think are right, I do not understand your way of thinking sometimes]

[ You want to live happily but at the same time involve yourself in discords that you don't need to become a part of]

However, getting involved in discord is your choice alone, you are just an immature man who became arrogant after gaining a little bit of strength and now you think that you are better than anyone or would become the strongest...]

The voice kept on speaking, telling him everything he did wrong. How he had been a hypocrite towards people who had truly helped him. He blamed Bushche even when he was the only one who came forward to help him. He hates Oscar for overworking him, using him, and for being greedy, but Oscar had helped him gain the life that he had desired when he first met him. He even made the Grey Wolf risk thier lives because of his actions.

The voice kept on speaking, silencing him every time he tried to protest that he didn't do that.

" What do you want me to do?" He asked, " I don't have any idea,"

[ I don't know, Just do what you want but don't be a hypocrite, and don't blame me because whatever I do is in your best interest after all I am just an item and I will disappear with you]

Just like the last time he regained consciousness. He woke in front of the weapon that was at the very top of the mound. He wondered if he would even be able to take out that sword.

'...Let's just do it with the punches. My stats are enough to deal with that Lady." He woke up and looked at the weapon again, he still felt a chill running through his body every time he saw this dark blade. He was afraid to even touch this thing.

He started to descend from the mound and headed for the exit gate. However, outside the exit gate, he saw something strange thing.

' I am sure it was not here when I came here.'
