Synopsis
"Isla."
Staring at relief, regret, happiness and maybe....love, Isla could not believe the man at her front was her husband, even if his appearance had not changed since her escape from the Hayes Duchy.
Compared to the indifference he clearly expressed during their five years of marriage, she wanted to laugh out loud, as she understood the reason for his disgusting emotions.
"Duke, you finally decided to find me, after your wife's child was proven not to be yours?" Sarcasm laced her tone as painful memories resurfaced in Isla's head.
Duke Hayes looked at his first wife, who gave him nothing but pure love in their marriage. However, he pursued another love with intentions and now he became the biggest fool.
"Isla, I know I do not owe you an explanation, but please think of our child." he begged, desperately. He wanted her and the child back in his life.
The child that links him to Isla, his one and only real wife. The person who loved him and he will do anything to bring back that love.
"Our child or my child, Duke?" Isla sharply retorted. Then, with a blank stare, she warned icily. " Choose your words carefully, Dante."

This is a must read. There is a strong plot development and the characters are well thought out. The FL is in a pitifully bad situation that often brings tears to my eyes, but seeing how things are being developed and dealt with I find myself laughing at the jerk duke knowing that he will get what he deserves. Having said that, I really dont like the duke as a person, but that is what makes the story so good. Thanks to the author for such a gem. 😘
Beautifully descriptive in a manner that provokes mental images. The author uses the power of imagery with a high level of clarity. This is a highly enjoyable, entertaining read. Good job author.
I don't want her to reconcile with the duke after what she had been through out her five years marriage because she and her son deserve more than anything. Please huhu 😭 btw Love the story 💯😍 the plot and the character 👍❤️
Worth time spending it's well written but a little disappointed because I think he doen't deserve her. he hurts her too much and he even want to take her child want we all know he doesn't love him. if he didn't find that his mistress's cheats him he would not change. he doesn't not deserve the ml role. but it the good books.

This story is really good. Its world background and story plot is really well written and described. But please don't let the fl forgive the ml cause he is the trashiest of trash. From beginning till the end it was just him playing with fl emotions and trust and I believe he wouldn't have ever felt sorry for in the previous life and if not for change in fl the tragedy would be the same as the one in her past life. He doesn't deserve anyone's forgiveness.

when I found this story, I just like "oh okay just another trash husband" n honestly trash ml it's not my cup of tea, but idk I do Still read n wait for this story maybe bcs writernim already told that ml is the husband n maybe bcs the premise n how writernim write the story it just makes me want to know the next chapter, but what i want to say it's the FL is strong n calm she's not like another strong fl who do revenge she just accepts but still good to protect herself n her family, I can't give another comment bcs it's too early to judge the whole story. but it's worth to try to read the story
I love this book so much 😍😍 And I love the female lead mostly 💜💜 Isla truly deserves better and I hope she doesn't run back to that useless incompetent Dante for a no-good husband 😤😤😁😁 overall I'm definitely in one with this novel and I hope the Author resumes the novel soon! ❤️❤️
This is a good novel, there is not a lot of world building and some side character stories could be skipped but the characters are interesting, full of personalities that are quite different from each other, you get a good amount of inspiration for self growth from the FL and you also get some frustration from some dim witted characters, the novel is well written with good editing and the author interacts quite well with the readers

Please change the cover of this book it looks less appealing than it originally did. I wouldn’t have clicked on this book if it weren’t for the original cover. The new one looks okay but a better more simple one would appeal to new readers better.
Come, drama lovers, read this book and feel the feeling of suspense lurking in every corner and that rising anger to Isla’s so called husband “Dante.” There is something about this book that makes it easily digestible yet so entertaining. immersive yet not straining. A good read for those seeking entertainment really. (The only book I bothered to unlock after 2023)
A very good book. Reminds me of a another book I read earlier titled The Remarried Empress. Well written, totally descriptive. Just wish the flash backs could come with a warning though. It's easy to get confused if you aren't concentrating.
All I can say, it is worth the coins. Read the whole story in a day. Had me gripped from beginning to end!
Enjoyable reading experience and a roller coaster of emotions, i would definetly recommend this novel.
I literally couldn't put it down and was almost late to work and definitely stayed up to late reading it so I was tired the next day. It was worth it though. Will do it again 😂
I have always avoided reading historical/fantasy romanc. Initially i was hesitating should i give it try or not but after reading 7 chapters i just come here yo give this book my ho est review. the story is very interesting kept me thinking what is going to happen next. my only concern is who is gonna be ML. To be honest I don't want duke to be ML even I am okay if there is no ML in this story(although it's a romance novel) In the end I would like to give my all best wishes to author👍👍👍
