Chapter 46: Let's Create A Pitch

March 27, 2023, 11:30 AM - Makati City, Philippines

As the Inklusive team rode back to the office in one of their company cars, the tension from the encounter with the head of the competing agency still lingered in the air. The team couldn't help but discuss the arrogance they had witnessed, their voices filled with a mix of frustration and determination.

"I can't believe how arrogant that guy was," Jewel exclaimed, her voice laced with frustration. "Did you see the way he dismissed our ideas and belittled our capabilities? It was completely uncalled for."

Daniel, who was sitting beside Jewel, sighed and said, "Don't let them get to you. If there is one thing I've learned in my time in advertising is that if you let intimidation blow your fuse, you lose. Learn to control your anger, you will encounter worse people than that in the industry, I can tell you that much. Besides, they did have grounds for their confidence, they are from TVWA, a bigwig in the advertising field, but let's not allow that to discourage us. I believe we can ace this."

Lily, who was seated in the back, chimed in, her voice filled with determination. "If Sir Daniel didn't stop me, I would have given him a piece of my mind."

Dwight, who had been quietly listening, spoke up. "Let's not waste our energy on their arrogance. We need to focus on what's important: securing this project and proving ourselves. We might be a new agency, but we are by no means noobs. Our creativity, talent, and dedication speak for themselves."

Daniel nodded in agreement. "Exactly, Dwight. We have the skills and passion to deliver outstanding work. We can't let their arrogance distract us from our goal. Let's use their condescension as fuel to drive us forward. Our pitch for Solé needs to be exceptional, showcasing our unique perspective and creative approach."

As the team arrived back at the office, their determination grew stronger. They called for a meeting with the rest of the Inklusive staff to discuss their strategy for the Solé pitch. The conference room buzzed with excitement and ideas as everyone gathered.

Daniel took charge, holding the brief in his hands. "Alright, team, let's dive into the details of the Solé pitch. Our target market is the younger Millennials and Gen Zs. We need to understand their desires, interests, and what drives them."

Jewel leaned forward, her eyes gleaming with enthusiasm. "We have to tap into their need for self-identity. These generations value expressing themselves through art, culture, and music. We need to align Solé with their passions."

Daniel acknowledged Jewel's insight, nodding in agreement. "Spot on, Jewel. Our campaign needs to resonate with them on a deeper level. Let's brainstorm ideas on how we can bring their desire for self-expression to life."

Lily's excitement was contagious as she shared her vision. "What if we collaborate with artists to design a collection of shoes that cater to different identities? Each design would represent a unique aspect of their individuality. It would create a sense of ownership and connection with the brand."

Paolo, who had been quietly listening, added, "I love that idea, Lily. And to further engage the new generation, we could suggest releasing a super plain, all-white design that they can customize to their heart's content. It would empower them to unleash their creativity and make the shoes truly their own."

The room buzzed with energy as the team embraced these innovative concepts. Daniel saw an opportunity to elevate the campaign further. "To launch the overall campaign, let's suggest a music video. It can have an artsy theme and feature various genre styles, with up-and-coming artists collaborating on the project. We want to create an immersive experience that resonates with our target audience."

Dwight, who had been listening attentively, raised his hand to contribute another idea. "I have a thought as well. What if we create a series of short vlogs or interviews that delve into the lives and passions of young Millennials and Gen Zs? We can showcase their unique stories and how they express their individuality through art, culture, and music. We can work with influencers again to drive engagement. User-generated content can also be encouraged to foster a sense of community and inclusivity."

Daniel nodded, impressed by Dwight's suggestion. "That's an excellent addition, Dwight. It aligns perfectly with our focus on self-expression and passion. We can explore both the music video and the vlogs concept to cater to different aspects of our target audience's interests."

Daniel continued, "So Dwight, I want you to start working on the copies, hashtags, and campaign lines already. We need compelling messaging that captures the essence of Solé's appeal to the new generation. You can also start making hypothetical characters to represent some of the identity types we can feature."

Lily and Jewel, were tasked with crafting the presentation deck, incorporating data, budget estimates, and allocation suggestions. Paolo joined them to provide financial expertise, ensuring the proposal was solid and well-structured.

The rest of the creative team eagerly began compiling pegs and creating key visuals that would suggest unique and innovative designs for the Solé campaign. Their goal was to capture the essence of self-identity and artistic expression, presenting a range of options that would impress the client.

The brainstorming session continued, with ideas flowing freely and conversations blending into each other. The room transformed into a hub of creativity, fueled by the team's shared commitment to excellence and innovation.

Daniel glanced around, a smile playing on his lips. "Great work, everyone. Let's continue pushing the boundaries and creating something extraordinary. Our goal is to present Solé with an outstanding pitch that captures the hearts and minds of the younger Millennials and Gen Zs.

With renewed focus and determination, the Inklusive team embraced their respective tasks, confident in their ability to deliver a campaign that would leave a lasting impression on both Solé and their target audience. The room buzzed with excitement as they immersed themselves in the creative process, fueled by their passion and shared vision.
