Synopsis
Ethan accidentally rode the wrong train and ended up in Brynhildr Magical Academy where Wizards and Witches are taught on how to use Magic.
As someone who didn't have any magic powers, he thought that he would be punished for being in a place where he wasn't supposed to be. Fortunately, due to a stroke of luck, the teenage boy managed to avoid the worst case scenario, and ended up staying in the Magic Academy to learn magic.
Ridiculed by many for being magically crippled, Ethan strived to adapt to his new school life with the help of his new friends, who made him realize what True Magic was all about.

If you like Japanese stories, you would probably like this one. The story isn't bad, but it's just not my cup of tea. The MC is scared of girls and within just one chapter he steps back in fear of two different girls. I had one problem with the writing and that was the fact that the author kept referring to the MC as "the blue haired boy" constantly long after his name was known. It wasn't just once or twice, but almost every time he was mentioned. Writing Quality is 4 stars aside from what i mentioned. Stability of updates is 5 stars Story Development is 4 stars Character design is 4 stars World Background is 5 stars Like I said, it was good, just not for people like me.
At first when I checked the synopsis I thought that this was basically a Harry Potter romantic comedy. But i deeply regret even reading the first chapter. The very idea of crippling a baby fills me with fury, even more so when it's done out of supposed love.

If I have to describe the book in a few words, it would be--> Harry Potter, but better. Harry Potter had its charm, but this one is on another level. It has a little bit of comedy, some DnD elements, a lot of spells, a world full of magical creatures, and many other things. I have read the first 17 chapters of the book, and I am now hooked. Do give it a try, and you will be hooked in the first 10 chapters as well.
I read the authors previous work, RWTSS, and the MC there and here has the same vibe, and reading the first chapters of these novel, he's not that narcissist as William :D Most of the magic related web novels are more serious in pursuing their magic. This one may/will have comedic antics just like William on RWTSS, or greater. Let's see his adventures in the academy in pursuit of magic.

This is review for the first 36 chapters. Barely introduced to the story but I’ll attempt a review. author mentioned the obvious comparisons to HP and sure there are some similarities but replaces the childishness with a bit more maturity. We’re meeting some potentially interesting characters. We have the bones of world that could bring the story up a few levels. I’ve never really been a fan of a world where mere words were all that was needed to cast spells, but there isn’t enough story to determine the nuances of spell casting yet. I’ll write a better review in 70 chapters

Honestly I tried, but after 60 chapters I can't handle the constant reminded of that one person being an angelic beauty or that other person being handsome whatever. Plus if I have to read the words "blue haired boy" one more time, I'm going to punch someone through the teeth.
The novel is alright. It seems to be "heavily influenced" by Harry Potter. The writing quality is alright. There are some issues in every chapter and there are constant issues with gender changes throughout the story which are quite annoying.

Review as of chapter 40.This is the first time I've read an ongoing novel with less than 200 chapters, just because of how great Elyon's other work is, and so far, most likely due to growing up on Harry Potter. I'm enjoying this even more. Would highly recommend this novel to others.
this story had so much potential to be actually good but it was ruined the moment the way his ability works is revealed, actually really lame and just a super lazy way to force relationships to have meaning. Genuinely frustrating that this novel had potential to be something more than just another harem novel.

While it’s a great parody, But bad notes first, the novel gets more and more harem like, without having the tag, and I find myself losing interest as it does. I didn’t sign up for a harem. And the fact that he’s getting it one with his cousin not cousin… I also had a problem with the sheer lack of important male characters. All the important ones are female. And any male characters are unexplored footnotes, easily replaceable.This highlights the harem feel. As a side note, the MC should lose sometimes. It adds depth to the character. On the good notes, the novel has great promise. It really gives you perspective on power-levels without having to state it. You just get a feel for how strong people are and the potential out there. Also, the world building is great so far, and it has solid character design as I can see. I want to see more. I want to see outside of just the school. I also can’t wait to see more political aspects being explored. Like a game of thrones feel. Currently, I think the novel has some good pacing.
