Synopsis

It had been hundreds of years since humanity and their Witch allies had been forced to retreat to the fortress cities after the disastrous war to eliminate the Magi Clans.

Nuclear weapons had burned the skies, and Grand Magic pulled entire continents beneath the seas before the end, but the victory was secured, no Magi was left alive in their slowly recovering world.

Or so they thought.

Wolfe Noxus was born on the lower levels of a fortress city run by the Morgana Coven, raised under the glow of magical lights, with magic and technology entwined in every aspect of his life.

But after his eighteenth birthday, when a get rich quick scheme led him to the forbidden ability to use the powers of the Magi, his whole life would change.

The forbidden inheritance of the Magi was his. All he had to do was live long enough to embrace it.

To start the book is well written in the sense that I can tell actual thought was put in it unlike a lot of stuff on Webnovel. But reading the summary is very misleading along with the tags…. The MC is essentially a living tool/battery for the witches, the same witches who killed all the magi which he is but apparently he doesn’t have a issue with it. His mentality that he shows doesn’ match with his background instead of being atleast slightly cold and cautious like you would think growing up in the poorer sections of the city, he’ very goofy and cocky with no sense of self preservation.

Ive read 47 chapters so far. This story is pretty entertaining. However my biggest issue is the lack of detail.. especially involving sexual things between the MC and the witches. Its simply a waste of potential. Its not enjoyable. Just a bunch of hints at what they are doing instead of giving the readers juicy scenes. Kind of lame.

Ah. Honestly, I wasn't going to write a review at first because I directly understood that this novel wasn't going to be for me (I am not into romance). It would be like saying you dislike a horror book because it contains horror. That being said, the writing quality and the magic made me stay (I have an inkling toward mix of technology and magic). What a mistake I have made 😑. I won't talk about the amount of sexual related talk that make you wonder if it's actually a magic novel since, again, it was clearly portrayed since the beginning and I knew what awaited me (I wasn't ready for the relationship with his cousin though, like what? Yes I know they are distant family but it's still family...) but the main character... THE MAIN CHARACTER. He discovers he has a magi inheritance in a world where magi are being killed or worse. Yet, the MC shows little to no concerns. You know, I understand that he was forced to follow the rule of the witches. But bro, you could at least show some concern ? You could not instantly trust whoever comes by ? Have some plans ? I am sure he will (I have dropped) but right now, he hasn't shown any... like how ? Also, why is the MC accepting to be used as a battery without any afterthought? Its as if it was the best thing to be a human battery... HOW ?! And then he became a familiar... A FAMILIAR ?!  And the worst ? He doesn't show any concerns about becoming a familiar, not even an afterthought. What human being, and I say that in general, would suddenly become a slave and show absolutely no concern? Not even a little bit angry ? Just after he learns that familiars have to sleep with their master. It seems so forced... Like bro, enough, dropped. I am not a romance guy but the very least I know is that romance doesn't imply that the MC is dumb and incoherent.

Review as of 132:Overall, this novel is kind of a mixed bag for me. I quite enjoy fantasy stories with things like magic to break up the monotony of cultivation stories. The issue though is that despite being the inheritor of the Magi, hes largely been learning from the perspective of a Witch and as a demon since hes been a "familar". I'm also kind of lost since while the story has decent grammar and chapter length, many things haven't been clearly explained. Like he went from being a forced staff member to a familar of two witches but he is actually the one in control. I feel like that process was incredibly fast while not clearly explained. Another contention is that Wolfe feels as though he doesn't have a mind of his own. Like we know he wants to get more powerful and so he remains cooperative with the witches but he kinda feels like a op slave. Comparing it to something like Witch Hunter which has somewhat similar world settings if you compare the hatred of men vs witches and magi vs witches/world. I've never felt lost while reading witch hunter and always felt that i could clearly understand the choices and goals of the mc, feel like Wolfe has never clearly shown his goals. These issues might be addressed later on when Wolfe learns more about the world and finds more magi related information but this is my review so far.

Mc is just a tool man. The witches around don't seem to care much about him other than the power he can give them and just treat him like a servant. Always just demanding things from him and ordering him around like an errand boy. He seems fine with that because he gets to be with two beautiful witches. Nothing really has happened so far into the story though. The system is just a status screen until now, I guess. Title says inheritor of magic, but I don't even know what he actually inherited. Maybe the status screen is the magic he inherited?

Aoki is putting another masterpiece to paper here. He has a way of making characters fun to read about and get to know that is hard to find in other novels, even ones that have thousands of chapters, he gives them depth that let's you know not just what they contribute to the story, but WHO they are behind it. The background to this story is well thought out and well introduced, on top of being a premise I have not seen from any other author yet. What's updates 2 chapters a day, I don't think I've seen any of Aoki's books drop behind on updates since I started reading his material. Overall I have and will continue to recommend this book and all of Aoki's others to anyone who reads.

Day 1 of the Book, 8 Chapters out. I am flashed and already hyped for more. I really hope the MC can change the system that is forced upon him and bring the lost knowledge of the Magi back to its past glory.

MC xcter does NOT match his experiences. He lives in a world where women rule. At least, the highest levels of power. Just a few chapters into the novel, it becomes clear that witches used their monopoly over magic to force the world I to submission. He KNOWS that Magi are automatically executed. He WANTS to learn all about his inheritance. ... And when he is captured he goes with the flow? No terror at his obvious fate? Then he is made or can be made into a battery. Where is the rage? The anger and helplessness at his fate? Your entire race has been wiped out but you barely even care? Someone here just said he doesn't know the Magi so there's no reason to be upset over their fate. Ok... But you are the same race. Right in the enemy camp. A slave already. The truth is that the author is only interested in developing the romance element to the detriment of all others. Allowed. But everything else must match the world and make sense.

200 chapters so far. The world is great and I see the possibilities but the magic system is a empty shell and the characters have not evolved since chapter 50. Dropping here I think

so far I have read 23 chapter and all I understand from them is this world rule by a witches and witches can't use there own mana to cast magic they need mana from men not all the men have mana though.if men use there own mana to cast magic and if they successfully able to cast magic considered as a magi but also criminal if witches find out there's a men who can use is own mana to cast magic they are killed by witches.
