Chapter 72: Investment
"So you're saying you want these mikans to be sold all around the world? " Nojiko asked Kaya who nodded.
Kaya came to Nojiko and offered her an investment opportunity. Kaya nodded.
"Mhm. In exchange for that, I'll be the co-owner of your tangerine farm which will become the best fruit selling farm in the whole world." Kaya nodded confidently.
" And you'll be able to supply the crew with all the tangerines they need." She added while smiling at her. Nojiko hummed.
" That does sound like a good opportunity. But I have one demand. " Nojiko looked at her seriously.
" What is it? "
" Let me join Luffy's crew. "
" Haaah?!!! "

The next day, it was time for the Straw Hat Pirates to leave Conomi Islands. Nami wasn't on the ship yet.
Everyone was patiently waiting for her on the Going Merry. Then they saw Nami running towards them.
"Raise the anchor!!! Unfold the sail!!!"
They heard Nami shout while she was running towards them. The villagers tried to stop her.
"Nami-chan!! Stop!! Can't you say goodbye to us?!"
The ship started sailing away from the Island. Genzo blocked Nami's way.
"Wait! Nami! You can't go like this!!" Genzo shouted but Nami went around him skillfully. She then leaped towards the ship and landed on it gracefully. She then raised her clothes a little and a bunch of wallets dropped out of it.
She held a piece of money while grinning back at them. "I wish you luck! Haha!!"
"YOU LITTLE THIEF!!!"
Nami giggled as she heard them laugh and shout at her.
"Come back anytime you want to!"
"Good luck!!"
"Thank you!!"
" Don't forget our promise kid!! "
Luffy smirked at Genzo who gave Nami a thumbs up. Nami grinned at them.
" Good-bye everyone!!! See you later!!!!"
They kept waving at Nami who waved back at them happily. But Genzo noticed something wrong.
" Wait! Where's Nojiko!? " He shouted and looked back at the Going Merry. He widened his eyes as he saw Nojiko standing with the Straw Hat Pirates and sticking out her tongue at him.
" NOJIKO!!!!!"

"And why are you here again, Nojiko?" Luffy asked Nojiko who smiled at him.
"I decided to put my skills to good use." Nojiko explained.
"And that is....." Luffy raised an eyebrow. Nojiko smiled.
" Gun-slinging, weapons expert and being Kaya's assistant in running her million Berry businesses." Nojiko replied with a smile. Luffy hummed and looked down. Nojiko frowned.
" Wait, did I say something wrong? " Nojiko asked out loud.
" No, Luffy's just thinking about what to train you in." Zoro replied.
" Oh... It's just that he has such a serious face on, one could mistake it for anger. " Nojiko smiled a little.
" Don't worry Nojiko, when it comes to combat, Luffy's literally Vegapunk." Kaya assured her confidently. Nojiko nodded.
" Hm.... You need to put more muscle on you. Actually, everyone here does. Even I do to be honest, I'm not as buff as I would've hoped I would be when I started my journey. " Luffy mumbled.
" Write that down, Nami. " Luffy reminded her.
" Already on it." She replied.
"Alright, you guys need to learn and master some or even all of the seven techniques of Rokushiki. It'll turn you into a literal superhuman. Then after that, all of you need to learn how to use Haki. Busoshoku Haki works well for Nojiko because she use guns and the bullets can be coated in Haki." Luffy mumbled while Nami was jotting down the main points of what Luffy wanted.
" There's so much work to do. That's it, we'll extend it to five months of training. " Luffy declared.
" Are we just going to stay in one place or something? " Usopp asked while he was making some new pellets for his Ginga Pachinko.
"No, we're going to move. We can't stay in one place. Plus, this is also a good chance for you guys to learn how to adapt to the different situations of the islands. " Luffy explained.
" Will we be just training? " Nami asked. Luffy shook his head.
" Nah, we'll be exploring the East Blue a little more while we're at it. Maybe we can all make a bigger name for ourselves first before we go to the Grand Line." Luffy answered. Nami hummed.
" You guys might think I'm stalling to go to the Grand Line because I'm scared. But you guys have to remember that the Grand Line is a whole different territory. If we just charge straight in, it'll be like committing suicide. " Luffy reminded them seriously.
" You don't need to say anymore, Luffy. We understand your point and it's logical to be honest. As you said before, Haki is something that we, especially a Devil Fruit user like you, need to watch out for. We can have a better chance at surviving there if we get stronger and prepare first. " Sanji patted his back and nodded at him. Luffy grinned at him.
" Alright then, let's head to our first island! Nami, set sail to the island I marked on the map! "
" Aye Aye Captain!!! "

After a few hours of sailing and discussing, they finally arrived at an uninhabited island. They got off the Going Merry and started making camp there.
There were a lot of strange hostile animals on the island they were in. Usopp, Kaya, Nami and Nojiko were scared at the sight of them.
But with Luffy's encouragement, they faced their fears, killed some of them and made them their dinner.
Nojiko was very good at using the revolver. She holstered one of them on each side of her hips.
Her and Usopp quickly got themselves into a friendly rivalry, Usopp always won in each of the contests but Nojiko wasn't giving up any time soon.
Kaya being the sponsor and the quartermaster of the crew, was sitting by the fireplace and making some large business plans for the future of her multiple businesses.
Nami was training with Luffy, Zoro, Usopp, Nojiko and Sanji. And just like that, the day quickly passed by.

One month has passed since they arrived at the uninhabited island. Everyone had obviously gotten stronger.
Luffy trained them in everything related to combat. Sanji was able to use Soru now and was now in the middle of learning how to use Rankyaku. He was also in the middle of developing a secret technique that she wouldn't tell no one about.
Zoro improved tremendously in his One Sword Style technique. He never really had the time to improve in it due to him using him Three Sword Style as his main fighting style.
Usopp had created more attacks for his Ginga Pachinko and he had gotten physically stronger. He was in the process in learning how to use Soru from Luffy.
Now, Nami had a new weapon created for her with the smarts of Usopp and Nojiko.
It was called The Clima-Tact and it is the upgraded form of her signature weapon, the Bō staff. It resembles her original three-piece bo-staff, with the segments made of hollow blue steel that can be separated into three segments, just like Nami's old one.
Its true power lies in its ability to manipulate the climate of its surroundings. Nami had requested it to Usopp because she thought it was cool.
Usopp had spent countless sleepless nights to complete the prototype, then he spent some more with Nojiko to make it an actual battle ready weapon.
Each piece of the Clima-Tact also has a button on it and is capable of creating a bubble of air each with its own different properties.
When the pieces are put together in certain combinations and activated by a button located on a piece connected within the combination, they can produce a variety of different results.
Each separate piece of the Clima-Tact is capable of producing a bubble of air. The bubbles produced from each piece have different properties.
Though the bubbles alone cannot deal any true damage to the opponents due to their small size and lack of firepower, but with certain combinations of these bubbles and Nami's skills in meteorology, Nami is able to simulate different weather patterns to aid her, giving off surprisingly devastating effects.
There are three respective bubbles that come out from the three poles. The first is the Heat Ball, it is produced from the 'Heat Pole' either when air is blown into the end of it or it is shaken, the Heat Ball is a red bubble of heated air that drifts along in the air.
The second is the Cool Ball, it is produced from the 'Cool Pole' either when air is blown into the end of it or it is shaken, the Cool Ball is a blue bubble of cold air that drifts along in the air. It cools down the temperature of the area surrounding it.
The third and final one is the Thunder Ball, it is Produced from the 'Electric Pole' either when air is blown into the end of it or it is shaken, the Thunder Ball is a yellow bubble of electrified air that drifts along in the air. It electrifies the air of the area surrounding it.
Nami became an expert at using the Clima-Tact in an instant, she used it in conjunction with her bo staff fighting skills.
She was now able to use Kami-e because she was interested in it and it works well with the techniques she has with the Clima-Tact.
Nami kept mastering her newfound techniques along with getting physically stronger.
And now, it was time to leave the island and explore a new uninhabited one. But before they left, they saw a small ship with large boxes on it approaching them.
Luffy looked at it with narrowed eyes.
"Don't worry Luffy-san. It's just a supply drop I requested from the Baratie." Kaya explained.
"Supply drop?"
