Chapter 146: Working Together
"It's the first time I've ever seen the Gates of Justice fully open. " Kaku whispered while Enies Lobby was in the middle of getting bombarded by an endless barrage of cannonballs from the 10 battleships sent from the Marine Headquarters.
"I see them. The 5 Vice Admirals." Nami whispered and handed Luffy the binoculars she was just using.
She guided Luffy who used the binoculars at where the Vice Admirals were. Luffy started looking around while following his cute navigator's directions.
He looked at the first Vice Admiral. He was a relatively straight shaped person with a long beard. He is usually seen with his eyes closed, or at least half-closed.
He wears a very long bearskin version of the standard Marine uniform cap due to his head being abnormally long. Like many high-ranking Marines, he has a standard Marine's coat draped on his shoulders like a cape.
Under it, and over a shirt left unbuttoned near the neck, he wears a water-green jacket, with pale yellow rope-like ornaments on the chest, and matching pants.
This is Vice Admiral Strawberry. Luffy quickly looked at the next Vice Admiral.
He is a tall and broad-chested man. He has a slightly wrinkled face, a round nose with prominent nostrils, thick lips, and a wide, round chin.
He has brown buzz cut-styled hair which connects to a thick beard that covers his entire chin. He is always seen with his eyes closed and with a cigar in his mouth.
He is also often seen with a cheerful smile. He wears a dark brown double-breasted suit with a black tie underneath, all over a yellow dress shirt with a red polka dot pattern.
He also wears brown pants and brown shoes. Like most high-ranking Marine officers, he drapes his standard Marine coat over his shoulders like a cape. He also wears a standard Marine cap.
This is Vice Admiral Yamakaji. Luffy looked at the next one. He has four X-shaped scars on his face and two on his neck, a split, curling mustache and brown flowing hair, reaching down to his shoulders. He has no pupil in his left eye.
His Marine coat, draped on his shoulders like a cape, is more elaborate than the ones worn by other high-ranking officers, and the stripes across his cap are in a zig-zag pattern.
Underneath his coat he sports an outfit reminiscent of those worn by naval officers in the 1600's, composed of a loose shirt with rope-like ornaments on it and suit pants.
This is Vice Admiral Doberman and he is a firm believer in Absolute Justice. Luffy didn't like the look of the guy so he looked at the next one.
The next Vice Admiral was a tall man with a cold face and eyes that are always semi-closed.
He is usually seen smoking a cigarette, has long brown hair, and wears an ancient war helmet with a small, traditional Japanese dragon on it, and a long red plume hanging from it.
Under his Marine coat he wears a double-breasted gray suit over a dark green shirt with a silver tie. He also has a golden loop earring on his left ear.
This is Vice Admiral Onigumo, a firm believer of the Absolute Justice philosophy, and is willing to sacrifice anything to defeat what is defined as 'evil'.
Luffu didn't like him either and he looked at the last Vice Admiral that led the attack on Enies Lobby.
He is a man with a black mohawk and a mustache. He wears the standard marine uniform, consisting of a purple and white pinstripe suit with a coat draped over his shoulders, like Kizaru.
Underneath his coat lies a dark blue shirt and a light blue tie. He is of average height and very well-built. He carries around his weapon of choice, a katana, either attached to his right hip or on his shoulder.
He is Vice Admiral Momonga and it is uncertain what type of Justice he follows, although he is sincerely concerned about the welfare of his subordinates.
"It seems they didn't notice us yet, maybe we should just quietly leave here." Franky suggested. Kaku nodded in agreement.
" Nah!! I don't want peace!! I want problems, always!! Charge forward!!!! " Luffy declared, making Kaku and Franky look at him with an extremely horrified expression.
They heard stomping coming from behind and turned back to see Oimo and Kashii walking behind them while holding their weapons.
"Why are the gatekeepers here?" Kaku wondered.
"Oi! Sniper King! We'll be departing to Elbaf now and tell everyone about you, your captain and his crew you sail with!! See ya soon!!! " Oimo shouted and waved at Usopp. Usopp grinned and waved back at the two giants who started walking away from Enies Lobby.
" How the hell are they going to stay afloat?" Zoro wondered.
" Back there, they said they could swim. So I guess that's how they're gonna get there." Usopp replied while looking at the two giants walking away from them. They quickly focused back on the ten battleships they were sailing towards.
The battleships haven't noticed them yet. They were purely focused on destroying the hell out of Enies Lobby.
Robin looked away, this was too much for her. The memories of watching Ohara being destroyed by the Buster Call were flooding back to her mind.
Luffy silently stood beside her while gently patting her back, doing the best he could to calm the archeologist down.
"Captain! They're pointing their cannons at us now!!" Usopp shouted.
"Zoro, Sanji!! You're with me!!! Usopp, Nojiko!! Fire back as soon as they shoot the first shot!! Chopper, Kaya! Focus on getting the agents into stable condition!" Luffy then looked at Nami.
" Nami, offer range support with your Clima-Tact. And Franky. " Luffy looked at the cyborg seriously.
"Steer us to a position where we can fire all of the cannons at them." Luffy ordered. Franky gave him a thumbs up before quickly manning the helm.
*BAAANG!!! BAAANG!!! BAAANG!!!*
Two battleships started firing at them. Zoro and Sanji leaped to the air and started slicing and kicking the cannonballs.
Zoro then held one of his katanas horizontally above the shoulder of her sword arm.
"Santōryū: Senhachiju Pound Ho!!!!"
He then performed a circular swing that launched three enormous blue colored air compressed projectiles spiraling towards one of the battleships firing at the battleship the Straw Hats were on.
It was a much stronger and powerful version of Hyakuhachi Pound Ho, this new version was able to slice the battleship cleanly in half.

His attack caused a giant explosion on the ship he attacked. He could see the ship sinking and the Marines on it panicking and jumping off the sinking ship.
"Rankyaku Sen." Sanji whispered and used Rankyaku in a stomping action, the air blade was blasted straight ahead in a line towards another battleship like a bullet.
His powerful attack caused an explosion on a part of the battleship he was targeting. He kept going while using Geppo to keep her afloat in midair.
The battleship was getting destroyed by Rankyaku after Rankyaku. He then coated his legs with Armament Haki.
"Rankyaku Hakurai!!!" Sanji shouted and used a much more powerful form of Rankyaku that is used by using both legs.
He sent an even larger air blade that was orange in color. The blade was almost as big as Zoro's when she used Senhachiju Pound Ho.

The second battleship was down. There were only eight left. Sanji and Zoro landed back on the battleship they were sailing in.
Now, the battleships were all bringing their focus on the Straw Hats. The Vice Admirals looked on seriously as they prepared to engage Luffy himself.
"FIRE!!!"

All of the Marine battleships fired their cannons at the same time. Everyone saw a rain of cannonballs in the dark cloudy sky descending upon them.
Zoro narrowed his eyes as he prepared to deflect them all using his Haki infused katanas.
Someone blew past him at lightning speeds. He looked to see it was Luffy who unsheathed his cutlass and imbued it with Armament Haki.
He looked at the cannonballs and leaped towards them. He closed the distance with just that one leap.
"Divine Departure!!!!"
*FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!*
Luffy sent out his most powerful Divine Departure. The rain of cannonballs were quickly blown out of the way by his attack. The red colored air blade zoomed to the clouds and went through it. The battlefield was silently for a few seconds as Luffy started diving down towards the sea.

The clouds were then split in half and blown away by Luffy's attack. Luffy used Geppo and saw Vice Admiral Momonga approaching him by also using Geppo.
Momonga unsheathed his own katana and imbued it with Busoshoku Haki. Luffy raised his Busoshoku Haki imbued cutlass.
Luffy grinned at Momonga who narrowed his eyes at him. Luffy threw his fist at the Vice Admiral who already saw it coming using Kenbunshoku Haki.
Momonga dodged it and a fight ensued. They were using Geppo and their skills with the blade.
Luffy was doing extremely well against Momonga. Meanwhile, Zoro looked at Usopp and Nojiko.
"C'mon, you two!! Fire the cannons at them!! Franky! Drive this ship in between two ships so that we can hit two at the same time!!!" Zoro ordered. Being the vice captain of the crew, they immediately followed his orders.
The battleship they were in was sailing at full speed. Usopp was firing explosive pellets after explosive pellets at whatever ship he aimed his slingshot at, dealing damage.
Kaku widened his eyes as he saw Vice Admiral Strawberry and Vice Admiral Onigumo jump onto the battleship.
Onigumo quickly dashed towards Kaku who was shocked as Onigumo started transforming.
Onigumo possesses a currently unknown Zoan Devil Fruit that allows him to transform into a spider.
Using this power he is able to grow three pairs of spider-like black arms from his hair, as well as a spider-like abdomen. These spider-like arms seem to be produced from his elongated hair.
With these spider-like appendages and his own two human arms, he is capable of wielding a total of eight sabers.
Onigumo started clashing with Kaku who quickly transformed into his giraffe hybrid form to fight back against the Vice Admiral.
Strawberry ran towards Zoro who quickly ordered Usopp and Nojiko to start firing the cannons before going in to fight the Vice Admiral.
Robin steeled herself as she crossed her arms in front of her. She has done nothing in this battle.
It was time she proved herself useful to the Straw Hats.
