Chapter 170: The World Shifts
"They're asking for war, and I will be there when the time comes." Luffy muttered darkly as he clenched the newspaper in his hand tightly.
'All 3 Admirals and New Warlord Blackbeard Bring Gol D. Ace To Her Doom!! Rejoice! War Is Coming Soon!!' was the title of the newspaper.
Zoro patted his captain's back, doing the best he could to calm him down. The reason why marines are so short on hand, despite the fact that their headquarters are so close to the archipelago is clear now. Ace has been sentenced to public execution.
"Whitebeard will surely retaliate." Zoro commented as Luffy nodded. Now he knew why Ace's Vivre Card started burning up a little a few days ago, she was fighting the Marines.
"Let's not talk about it for now. Ace wouldn't want me to be distracted even if it's about her. Let's speed this up." Luffy muttered as the two then used Soru to head towards the Worst Generation's location.
They appeared in front of their allies. Nojiko ran towards him. "Luffy, we read the newspaper!" Nojiko shouted. Luffy nodded and patted her head.
"Don't worry, Ace will be fine. Let's not focus on her right now when we have our main objective right in front of us." Luffy pointed at the Human Auctioning House.
"Where's Tora-o, Jaggy and Sanji?" Luffy asked them. Bonney pointed at the Human Auctioning House behind her.
"Ah, scouting. Okay okay." Luffy whispered while nodding. Suddenly, they all looked at Sanji who stepped out of the building. He looked at them seriously.
"A couple more and it's Camie's turn."

The Straw Hats except for Luffy entered the Human Auctioning House. Meanwhile, Luffy was outside talking with the rest of the Worst Generation.
"If it comes down to fighting an Admiral, will you guys help me or abandon me? " Luffy asked them seriously. Drake chuckled a little.
" We've already committed to this, like hell we'll back down now. " Drake replied. Urouge patted Luffy in the back.
" Even though we just met, you have my full support, Mugiwara-san. I do not know about the others though. " Urouge looked at the Human Auctioning House.
" Tora-o and Jaggy? Yeah, they're massive tsunderes. But I don't think they will abandon us during a time of need. " Luffy muttered.
" How can you put so much trust in someone you just met though?" Apoo asked him. Luffy shrugged.
"Honestly, it's just who I am. If there isn't mutual trust in an alliance, it all falls down quickly. I trust you guys wholeheartedly, and I expect that same trust to be returned. " Luffy looked at them seriously. Bonney crossed her arms.
" Then you're just fucking stupid then. We are pirates. We lie, steal, raid and do other unspeakable horrors." Bonney disagreed with him. Luffy shook his head and Bege sighed.
" He's right, Jewelry Bonney. Look at the bright side, our alliance is formed for mutual benefit. And our interests are extremely similar, which is finding the One Piece and becoming the Pirate King or Pirate Queen in your case. " Bege argued calmly. Bonney hummed while tilting her head cutely. Hawkins stayed quiet while he was summoning thin straw threads to keep his tarot cards at eye level. He picked one and looked at it. His eyes brightened a little.
"I see the light of prosperity and glory upon our futures. " Hawkins told them. Luffy grinned at Hawkins.
" See?! Even he agrees that this alliance is a good idea! So why not risk it? We're pirates right? We take risks everyday by sailing out there and being free as humanly possible! " Luffy told Bonney. Bonney growled and stomped on the ground.
" Argh! Fine!! I'm gonna commit to this stupid alliance!!" Bonney growled angrily. Luffy smirked at her.
"Alright! I gotta ask you guys one more question before we go in guns blazing. " Luffy requested. Everyone listened intently to what he had to say. Luffy's happy expression was quickly replaced with a serious one, something that scared them a little.
" Will you guys go to war with me?"

Meanwhile, inside of the Human Auctioning House. Everyone was looking attentively at the one responsible for the Human Auctioning House, Disco.
Disco is a thin, eccentric man who has long silver hair, a cleft chin, stubble beard and mustache. He wore a purple coat, pink scarf, a tall yellow hat with flower patterns around the bottom, and his trademark star-shaped glasses.
"Well I'm sorry to inform you all. The pirate Lacuba got a little nervous. He got a bit of a nosebleed and fainted! He's collapsed backstage so we won't be selling him until a later date!" Disco apologized to the audience full of nobles and the three Tenryūbito, Saint Rosward, Saint Shalria and Saint Charlos. Disco then grinned excitedly.
"However ladies and gentlemen! The product I'm going to reveal to you all should completely blast all thoughts of such minor issues out of your minds!! It's a SUPER special item!!" He then pointed to the large fishtank behind him.
" Ladies and gentlemen! Feast your eyes upon that beast whom many tried to capture but few succeed!! Without further ado, I think I'll let the goods do the talking! Directly from Fishman Island, it's the mermaid Camie!!!!" Disco declared loudly. The crowd cheered crazily as Camie was revealed to be in the fishtank with chains tying up her hands and a slave bomb collar wrapped around her neck.
"We have 500 mil to burn if we need to! " Kaya muttered determinedly as she prepared to raise her hand to bid.
"I bid 500 million Belly!!!!!" Kaya raised her hand and shouted. She smirked confidently as everyone looked at her in shock.
'No one can match that since they've already wasted so much money bidding on the others!' Kaya thought as Disco pointed at her.
" And we have started at 500 million Belly from the young lady over there! Any bidders?! No?! 500 million Belly counting once!!!.... Counting twice!!! And sol—
" I'LL BID ONE BILLION!!!! ONE BILLION BELLY!!!!!" Charlos declared. Everyone gasped in extreme shock and disbelief. Kaya swayed a little and fainted on the spot while foaming at the mouth. Nami quickly caught her and set her up against a wall.
Law and Kid were baffled. They looked at each other and back at Charlos.
"It.... It looks like the entire auction was struck speechless for a moment there!! But you heard the man! 1 Billion Belly! Damn! Any higher offers?! No?! Then we'll be ending the bidding on the mermaid here!!" Disco shouted. Charlos smirked smugly at the unconscious Kaya.
" Tch! Lowly commoner. " He grumbled with venom in his voice. Disco slammed the gavel onto the stand.
" And that's time!! Our super special item for the day, the mermaid Camie, sold to the highest bidder, Tenryūbito Saint Charlos for 1 Billion Belly!!!" Disco declared as everyone cheered loudly at Charlos.
"And they say pirates are the bane of all evil. Hah!! What complete bullshit!" Kid snorted. He heard shouting coming from outside of the building he was in and hummed in confusion.
*BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM!!!!!!*
The entrance of the Human Auctioning House was completely destroyed by one punch from Luffy. The punch left a large hole in the front of the building.
The smoke cleared out, revealing the rest of the Worst Generation standing there menacingly. Law, Kid and Sanji smirked as they arrived standing beside their fellow Supernovas.
The nobles started whispering amongst each other. They all knew who these people were. They read the newspaper after all. These people were pirates, Supernovas to be exact.
"Camie!!! I've come to save you!!" Luffy declared as he ran down the steps. But he was stopped by Hatchan who wrapped his six arms around Luffy.
"Wait right there, Mugiwara!! She has an exploding collar around her neck!! We can't take her like that! Not to mention, the Tenryūbito are involved!! " Hatchan shouted.
" Oh screw all that!! Your words won't stop me!!!" Luffy growled as he was being restrained by Hatchan. The nobles and the Tenryūbito were looking at Hatchan in disgust.
Luffy escaped Hatchan's grasp as he ran down the stairs. The guards start chasing him down.
"Hachi! Let's get out of here! We don't need to end up saving you too!" Pappag advised.
"Forget about me, Pappag! What about Camie?! " Hatchan argued with the starfish. Luffy was being wrapped around by the guards who were trying to stop him from reaching Camie. He punched them all in the face, the force of his punch broke their necks and killed them all. Suddenly, two gunshots go off.
*BANG BANG!!!!*
Luffy froze and turned around. As he did, Charlos can be seen holding a gun while Hatchan is lying on the ground bleeding.
"Hohohohoho!!! Hahahahahaha!!! I got the Fishman!!~ I sure sorted him out!!~" Charlos celebrated his extermination while doing a silly dance.
"Hachi!!" Nami shouted in horror. The pirates looked on in shock as Hatchan fell onto the steps.
"Oh father!!!~ Look at me!!~ I caught a Fishman!!~ I caught it myself, so it should be totally free right?! Now that's real value! A Fishman slave for nothing!!~ Free!!!~ Free!!!~ An octopus for free!!!~" Charlos kept gloating. The other auctioneers begin to give off a sigh of relief because now they will not get any 'diseases' from Hatchan.
Luffy in his fury, walked toward the Tenryūbito while clenching his fists tightly, making it bleed due to how hard he was clenching it.
He began to leak an overwhelming amount of Haoshoku Haki around him, knocking out the auctioneers close to him.
Suddenly, Hatchan grabbed Luffy. "Wait.. Please.... Mugiwara.... You can't.... It was my fault....*Cough!!* I just want to make things up to Nami.... even if only a little..." Hatchan started sobbing as Luffy gritted his teeth at him. Nami even started crying a little.
"I just wanted to be able to help you guys out..... but it's no good... no matter what I do.. I'm always just useless!! I always just screw things up!! I'm always just getting in everyone's way!! I'm so sorry!!!" Hatchan sobbed uncontrollably while apologizing to Luffy profusely. Never had Luffy felt so angry before.
"Stupid fish!! Blabbing your mouth even though I just shot you!! You're really getting on my nerves!!!" Charlos shouted as Luffy put a protective hand in front of Hatchan. Luffy silently stood up again and started walking towards the Tenryūbito. He ignored the crying Pappag's desperate warnings as he looked at Zoro and Lucci. He then quickly side-eyed Rosward and Shalria.
The Worst Generation smirked broadly as they looked at Luffy's facial expression. That was the look of a true killer.
"And don't get me started on you!!!!" Charlos shouted as he fired two shots at Luffy who just casually sidestepped them all.
Luffy suddenly disappeared using Soru, Zoro and Lucci disappeared at the same time. The three appeared in front of Charlos, Shalria and Rosward at the same time.
"NGGAAAAHHHH!!!!!!" Luffy screamed angrily as he punched Charlos in the face.
*BAAANG!!!!*
That violent punch sent Charlos from real life to the manga and made him crash to a wall.
"SHUGAN!!!!" Lucci appeared in front of Rosward and punctured him straight through the center of the Tenryūbito's chest.
"HAAAA!!!" Zoro appeared in front of Shalria while unsheathing Wado Ichimonji. He stabbed him straight through the neck.
Luffy growled as walked towards Charlos and grabbed his legs. He pulled the Tenryūbito in and started punching the shit out of his face.
Charlos was already dead but Luffy doesn't care, he wanted to humiliate this man even after death.
His punches made the sound of shotguns firing. Luffy grabbed Charlos' head and pulled it off his body.
Luffy raised it high up in the air for all to see. After hhe stabbed Shalria through the throat, Zoro pulled out Wado Ichimonji and out of it and sliced off his head.
He grabbed it too and looked at Lucci who pulled his hand out of Rosward's chest. Lucci sliced off his head with his hand and grabbed it as it was falling to the ground.
The three had just committed the worst possible sin a human could possibly commit, killing a Tenryūbito in broad daylight.
They didn't just kill one, they killed three in cold blood with no care about the consequences befalling them.
Camie was horrified at her Luffy-chin's actions. Surely he knew about the consequences right?
Nami knelt in front of Hatchan with a kind smile on her face. "Don't worry Hachi, you're safe now. Let's get you bandaged up." Nami muttered as Chopper and a conscious Kaya arrived beside Hatchan and carried him away.
The nobles all screamed in horror as they started dashing towards the exit. But the only exit in this building was the front entrance of the Human Auctioning House.
Their path was being blocked by the Worst Generation who all smirked at them. Kid and Law stepped up, taking the lead. Kid grinned maniacally as he cracked his knuckles.
"Who told you bastards you can get out of this place alive huh!?"
