Chapter 193: Breakout
"Welcome to Impel Down Level 5.5 Mugiwara boy and Buggy boy!!! This is the 'Prisoners' Secret Flower Garden', Newkama Land!!!!! Heehaw!!!! "
" Shishishishishi!!! Awesome!! " Luffy laughed happily as he saw Ivankov dancing in front of him. Buggy's jaw was dropped and his face was full of disbelief.
"Ivan-san! We meet again!" Luffy greeted Ivankov with a grin on his face. Ivankov stepped down from the stage he was on and arrived in front of Luffy.
"The same can be said for me Mugiwara-boy! What the hell are you doing here in Impel Down out of all places? " Ivankov asked him.
" To save Ace. " Luffy answered him seriously. Ivankov nodded and grinned at Luffy.
"Then I shall assist you! I feel like it is my duty to assist you! Don't worry Mugiwara-boy, you can trust me and the newkama to help you!!" Ivankov gave Luffy a big thumbs up with all of the newkama doing the same thing. Luffy smiled warmly at them.
"By the way Mugiwara-boy, why are you wearing a blindfold? Is that supposed to be a new fashion statement? " Ivankov asked curiously.
" Nah, I fought Magellan just now and his poison just robbed by eyesight. I need an antidote, do you have one? " Luffy asked. Ivankov looked at it Inazuma who nodded and ran off somewhere.
" Don't worry, Inazuma-boy is already on it. You shall only need to wait here. Meanwhile, I will explain to you what Newkama Land is all about!! " Ivankov declared. Luffy nodded and sat down to listen to Ivankov's explanation.
Newkama Land is a hidden sub level of Freezing Hell and is where all the prisoners who have been supposedly Demoned Away have gone to.
It is ruled by the 'Queen' Emporio Ivankov, and it is called the Okama Paradise where all the okama and prisoners party and have fun all the time.
It has been described by Ivankov as a 'paradise within hell', and true enough, not one inmate from this hidden level is inclined at all to escape the jail as a result.
However, since the level itself is hidden, the inhabitants seem to abide by very strict rules that prohibit them from actively interacting with the other levels, at least not without covert movement. Still, they do not seem to discriminate should new arrivals find their way here.
One of its main rooms is a combination of a sit-down cafe and a discotheque, with the main attraction being a cabaret stage where Ivankov and his followers perform. Apparently, there are also secret entrances existing from the other levels (save for Level 6) that lead directly into this hidden level which the inhabitants can use to their advantage in procuring any necessary supplies.
The level also has a Surveillance Den Den Mushi that captures feeds from Impel Down's main surveillance system so the prisoners can see what is going on from all levels in the prison. They also steal newspapers from the prison's garbage cans to stay informed about current events.
"Wow, it's just like a spy base then. That's cool. Shishishishishi!" Luffy laughed and hummed as he sensed Inazuma walking back towards them.
"Here, Luffy-san. The antidote you requested." Inazuma explained as he handed Luffy a vial full of purple liquid. Luffy grabbed the vial and looked at Ivankov.
Ivankov was a little weirded out since Luffy was wearing a blindfold and knew where exactly Ivankov was.
"Is this filled with your special hormones? Because I'm not drinking this if it does. " Luffy asked Ivankov who quickly shook his head.
"No, no! Mugiwara-boy! I would never do that! I can't face Dragon now if I do." Ivankov quickly denied.
"Fuck it." Luffy whispered before pulling out the cork and drank every single drop of the liquid from the vial. He put down the vial and stayed silent for a while.
Everyone watched in anticipation of what would happen next. Luffy grinned as he took off his blindfold and opened his eyes.
"I can see the world around me again!! Thanks Ivan-san!!!" Luffy thanked him profusely.
"Ah! No need for gratitude, Mugiwara-boy! I'm just doing the right thing. Are you ready?" Ivankov asked him. Luffy nodded.
" Alright!! Send word to all residents of Newkama Land!! As of this moment, we intend to Ace-boy from her peril,and subsequently escape from Impel Down itself! Anyone who wishes to accompany us should assemble here, prepare for the worst, and be ready for battle!! " Ivankov ordered the residents of Newkama Land. The residents then quickly ran around the place.
"Oh and by the way Ivan-san. Magellan's dead, I killed him before I arrived at Level 5." Luffy added. Ivankov could only blink in response.
"Not surprised considering how strong you are. I've also heard of your deeds and new bounty too. I'm simply astonished by your progress! Dragon must be very proud of you!" Ivankov complimented him. Luffy grinned and blushed in embarrassment from the compliments he received.
"Thanks Ivan-san! Shishishishishi!!"

"Inazuma! The key! " Ivankov ordered as he, Inazuma, Buggy and Luffy were running through Level 5.
"Done! There are guards beyond this point! Be careful!" Inazuma looked at Luffy who roared as he penetrated into Level 6: Eternal Hell.
"BRING EM ON!!!!" Luffy shouted as he smashed through guard after guard with his fists. The traps laid for him were useless as he sensed them coming using Kenbunshoku Haki.
"ACEEEE!!!!!" Luffy shouted as he stood in front of a large jail cell. He looked at the shackles.
" She's not here...." Luffy whispered as the rest caught up to him. Ivankov looked at the guard he was holding.
"You are absolutely sure this was the cage!!" Ivankov shouted at the guard who nodded back shakily.
" Y-yes!! Absolutely! I am most certain!!" The guard shouted back. Ivankov sighed and threw the guard away to God knows where.
"You are Mugiwara no Luffy, correct?!" A person from inside the cell shouted at Luffy. Luffy looked at him.
The person talking to him is 'Knight of the Sea' Jinbe. Jinbe is a whale shark fish-man and a powerful master of Fish-Man Karate. He is the second captain of the Sun Pirates after the death of their original captain, Tiger.
Jinbe is a large blue whale shark fish-man. He has a stocky build similar to that of a sumo wrestler and a face that is commonly associated with various Japanese demons such as the oni.
His yellow eyebrows and sideburns are distinctly shaped like those found on such demons, in addition to a bulb-like nose and an angular lower lip pointing upwards. He has a lightning-shaped scar that can be seen from his left sideburn and reaches over his left eye.
He also possesses two tusk-like conical lower fangs associated with Oni as well; the rest of his teeth from the upper and lower rows are pretty much the same, albeit much smaller. He also has a severe under bite, which makes room for his huge fangs.
He has long, two-toned black hair, with two long stripes, colored gold in the manga and white in the anime, coming from the roots over his forehead and trailing down the back, a topknot, and tuft of hair on his chin with a slight green hue.
His hands and feet are also webbed, typical for a fish-man, and his limbs that are somewhat thin in comparison with his enormous girth. His gills (which are pale and pinkish in color) are in between his shoulders and neck.
Under his pale red coat, he appears to be wearing a Coral colored traditional Japanese clothing covered all over with black and white square-shaped patterns with the black and white layers alternating each other (beginning with the black outline from the edge) and ending with a dark square at the middle of each and every one of them. He also ties this attire up with a purple obi like a ribbon around his waist.
"Yeah, I am. Who's asking?!" Luffy asked back.
"I'm Jinbe, one of the Seven Warlords but I plan to resign! But that doesn't matter, Ace was taken away as soon as you killed Magellan! If you hurry, you can still make it! Now move!!!" Jinbe demanded.
" Fuck, we're trapped. " Buggy cursed as he tried to take the lift but a giant pad with spikes came falling down, preventing them from going up the lift cables. A metal cage then surrounds the stairs, stopping them from exiting, and sleeping gas erupts.
Buggy and Luffy put on their gas masks while Inazuma went to work. Inazuma turned his hands into scissors, he then cut the stone floor into strips, and then folded the strips over the staircase.
His quick thinking blocked the gas coming through the metal cage. Luffy and Buggy took off their gas masks.
"Mugiwara-boy, I don't mean to discourage you. But perhaps you should leave the rescuing to Whitebeard instead—
"No! I will go to the Marine Headquarters!! I will not just stand by and wait for that old man to rescue Ace! I don't care if the biggest battle of the war is about to take place there! If I gave up just like that, I'd regret it forever! I'm going whether or not you like it, Ivankov!! The question is are you all with me or not?! " Luffy asked them seriously.
" Like I said, Mugiwara-boy. I feel like I have a duty to help you, so I will go wherever you want to go. " Ivankov replied to him seriously. Luffy nodded.
" Resolution is one thing, but we aren't going anywhere while we are trapped on this floor." Ivankov reminded them.
" Then I beg you all, take me with you!!! I swear I would be of use!!" Jinbe shouted at Luffy determinedly. Luffy looked at him.
"I have known Ace ever since she first joined the Whitebeard Pirates! She has told me tales of you, her soulmate!! I am locked up here because I objected to this war!! I want to save her as much as you do!! So please, Luffy-kun!! Let me die a glorious death!!" Jinbe pleaded. Luffy smirked at Jinbe.
"Say no more, Jinbe! You're coming with me! But you ain't dying anytime soon though! I will make sure of that!! " Luffy replied with a confident grin on his face. Inazuma wanted to argue with Luffy's decision but couldn't, seeing how serious he was about this.
So Inazuma opted to lockpick the cage with his scissors hands. Getting Jinbe out of those shackles was easy work, the Fishman was free within a minute.
Luffy shook Jinbe's hand as they looked at each other seriously.
"I look forward to working together with you, Jinbe!"
"Me too, Luffy-kun!!"
