Chapter 4: The Mafias of the West 1

Red Quin Island

As Shin sauntered into the vibrant casino of Red Quin Island, the kaleidoscope of lights and the lively chatter of patrons filled the air. The prospect of testing his luck and enjoying the thrill of gambling beckoned him. He exchanged 50,000 berries for a pile of chips, his eyes gleaming with excitement.

Approaching the roulette table, Shin casually tossed his chips onto the spinning wheel. The ball danced unpredictably, but with his Observation Haki, Shin watched the outcome with an almost clairvoyant precision. As the wheel slowed, the ball found its resting place, and Shin grinned as his winnings multiplied.

"Looks like luck is on my side tonight," Shin chuckled, collecting his growing pile of berries.

Emboldened by his success, Shin moved to the poker tables, where the stakes were higher, and the competition fiercer. Sitting down with a confident swagger, he joined a table of seasoned players. His Haki allowed him to anticipate bluffs and strategic moves, and soon, Shin found himself expertly navigating the poker game, leaving his opponents bewildered.

"Is this guy a card shark or just ridiculously lucky?" one player mumbled.

Shin, with a mischievous glint in his eye, raked in another substantial win. As the night progressed, he tried his hand at various games, each time employing his Observation Haki to turn the odds in his favor.

At the slot machines, Shin chuckled at the flashy lights and spinning reels. With a confident pull of the lever, he watched as the symbols aligned, showering him with a cascade of coins. "Who needs Devil Fruits when you've got luck like mine?" he quipped, his pockets jingling with the spoils of his success.

Encountering a particularly boisterous game of dice, Shin joined in the fun, relying on his Haki to predict the outcomes. The cheers and groans of the other players provided a lively backdrop as Shin continued to amass his winnings.

By the time the night reached its peak, Shin had turned his initial 50,000 berries into a staggering 2 million. Grinning ear to ear, he cashed in his chips and sauntered out of the casino, leaving behind a trail of bewildered and impressed gamblers.

As he stepped into the neon-lit streets of Red Quin Island, Shin couldn't help but reflect on the unpredictable turns of luck. With his newfound wealth and a twinkle of amusement, he contemplated the next chapter of his journey, fueled by the thrill of adventure and chance.

As Shin swaggered out of the casino, the clinking of his newfound riches caught the attention of a rather disgruntled entourage. A group of burly guards, decked in gaudy uniforms, trailed him like disgraced shadows. Unbeknownst to them, Shin had become the unwitting antagonist of their financial misfortune.

Turning into a narrow alley to catch his breath, Shin found himself surrounded by the aggrieved guards. Their scowls mirrored the sinking feeling of realizing their casino's coffers had been mercilessly plundered.

One particularly irate guard, his mustache twitching with anger, stepped forward. "You think you can just walk out of here with all that cash, huh?"

Shin, undeterred, conjured a mischievous grin. "Well, when you bet against me, you're playing with fire. Or in this case, wood."

In an instant, Shin's hand transformed into a wooden tendril, striking with the swiftness of a viper. The guards caught off guard both figuratively and literally, crumpled like a deck of cards in a breeze.

As they lay in a tangled heap, Shin dusted off his hands with a satisfied smirk. "Guess luck wasn't on your side tonight, fellas. Better luck next time, maybe bet against someone less fortunate."

The groaning guards, nursing their pride along with their bruises, glared at Shin as he strolled away, leaving them to contemplate the pitfalls of underestimating an opponent. As the echoes of his laughter filled the alley, Red Quin Island bore witness to a victorious gambler turned unintentional martial artist, weaving his way through both luck and adversaries with a flair for the unpredictable.

"Wait until our Boss Hears of this?"

"Yeah! Go Ahead he will also get beaten up like you."

======================================

In a dimly lit, smoke-filled room, the atmosphere was tense as the four mafia bosses of West Blue convened. Capone Bege, Edward West, Jack, and T-Bone eyed each other warily, their respective territories clashing like storm clouds on the horizon. The air hummed with an unspoken threat as they negotiated the delicate balance of power.

Capone Bege, the cunning strategist, leaned back in his chair, a cigar smoldering between his fingers. "Gentlemen, let's settle this like business partners, not street thugs. We each have our turf; there's no need for unnecessary conflict."

Edward West, a shadowy figure with an air of mystery, smirked. "Capone's right. We can expand our operations without stepping on each other's toes. There's enough to go around."

Jack, a hulking brute with a reputation for ruthlessness, grunted his agreement. "Just know where your limits are. Cross them, and there'll be hell to pay."

T-Bone, known for his strict discipline and precision, nodded solemnly. "Agreed. We can coexist, but respect is non-negotiable."

As the meeting neared its conclusion, tempers flared, and a scuffle erupted over disputed territories. Fists flew, and alliances shifted like the tides of a tempestuous sea. After a chaotic exchange, the four bosses, battered and bruised, begrudgingly reached a shaky truce.

However, amidst the settling dust of their internal skirmish, a subordinate of T-Bone burst into the room, breathing heavily. "Boss, we've got a situation. A newcomer named Shin just wiped the floor with our men. He's making a name for himself, and not in a good way."

T-Bone's eyes narrowed, a storm brewing within. "Shin, you say? We'll deal with this upstart swiftly. No one disrupts our operations and lives to boast about it."

As the echoes of the subordinate's report hung in the air, the fragile peace among the mafia bosses threatened to shatter. The emergence of Shin, a wildcard in their carefully constructed world, promised to bring a new chapter of unpredictability to the West Blue underworld. The balance of power, already tenuous, now faced the unforeseen challenge of an enigmatic force that dared to challenge the established order.
