If he had known, he wouldn't have acted so impulsively. Originally, he thought the injured Five-Order creature would allow him to reap benefits. However, the result was drastically different from what he anticipated.
But everything had already occurred. Whether it ended in mutual destruction or not, the Red Chain Snake wouldn't spare Mountain either way. The outcome would be the same!
For Shaun, since he couldn't change the result, the key was how to maximize his gains. A large amount of alcohol also spilled onto Mountain's clothes, igniting fierce flames.
