Chapter 4: Chapter 4: The Name Game

A mechanical voice chimes in, cutting through the digital airwaves. "Indeed, that's the situation. If you haven't noticed, you're getting better as well. Now, choose a name to unlock full access to all systems."

Our protagonist ponders. He figures it's best to keep things rolling. After all, he's not exactly spoiled for choices here—this is his golden ticket. "Alright, my name will be Yumekage Haruka."

As the name slips from his lips, he wonders: where did that come from? A name with no memory behind it. But before he can unravel that mystery, the mechanical voice intervenes again, sharp as an electric shock.

"Sorry, sweetie, that character's already taken."

How about John Smith?

"That one's snatched up too."

Sweet dreams?

"Already taken."

And Kefka?

"Taken."

In a cascade of exasperation, he spews out a random torrent of names, each rebuffed by the unyielding voice. Finally, he slumps in his quest for a name. "Dude, this is so annoying."

In the most sarcastic tone imaginable, the mechanical voice retorts: "Oh, sweet user, would you like me to present you with a list of 10 potential names to choose from?"

Our protagonist throws his hands up, exasperated. "What the fudge, why didn't you offer that 5 minutes ago?"

The mechanical voice is relentless. "You didn't ask."

With a weary tone, he retorts, "Oh, right. Because in my quest for a name, I'm thinking, 'Oh, please give me a list of names!'"

And just like that, the program shifts, per his request. "Initiating task."

Minutes crawl by, each filled with trial and error as the AI struggles to conjure a name. It's a baffling dilemma, and as frustration mounts, our main character, in a moment of jest, quips, "Hey AI, need a hand? Hahaha."

In response, the mechanical voice tweaks its parameters. "Name list ready:

1. Bumbleberry Bumblebop

2. Quirkle Flapdoodle

3. Wobbleflop McGiggles

4. Snickerdoodle Snazzlepants

5. Noodlebrain Noodlekins

6. I'm a noob

7. Noobnoob69"

Tired of the absurdity, our main guy throws in the towel. "Stop."

Amidst this unexpected name war, the robotic voice chimes in again, this time suggesting a different strategy. "How about we mix up the names of two monsters?"

"Better than nothing, right?" our protagonist sighs.

The voice confirms, "Randomizing 2 monsters, merging names. The name 'necroviper' was created and available to be taken. Confirm?"

Our hero, mentally drained, agrees. "Yes, please."

In response, a blinding burst of yellow light erupts, flooding his senses with a brilliant glow.
