Synopsis
Victor Damone's in-laws stole his life savings, convinced his beautiful wife he was a loser, and urged her to date a billionaire outside of marriage.
When the bankrupt Victor fails to pay for his dying grandfather's treatment, he decides to return to his mysterious old life. One in which the entire world kneels before him. Victor will show his in-laws and everyone who underestimated him that he is a legendary, peerless man with a thousand gifts.

I read Lucas Gray and Abandoned Husband. This one is similar genre but more fast paced and MC probably is like Bruce Wayne + James bond. Excited about how the plot turns out. I am rooting for Clare as love interest and not MC wife. Good so far

Decently written with lot of cliffhangerss. Hope this story continues and MC chooses right partner. I like that faceslapping is subtle and not over the top. Characters have distinct personalities. Let's see I will keep reading.
AUTHOR REVIEW.... I will begin with saying, probably this novel isn't for everyone since WN is dedicated to system and eastern fantasy.... I don't understand a few readers calling the MC cuck and pushover. It doesn't make any sense. It is the other way around. First few chapters can seem that way but just gotta be patient. Chapters are locked at 10 mainly due to contractual reasons. They may seem expensive because word count is 2000-2500. That's all. Do leave a review. If it is negative, make a more critical review of the plot rather than hateful comments. I'm a part-time writer so I'd really appreciate some constructive support. Thanks!
MC is supposed to be this mighty emperor, but reading all the free chapters and I barely even understand why MC is special at all. And of course, the woman he choose among the countless powerful and beautiful women fighting for his attention, is a woman that doesn't seem to so much as respect him and might even be cheating on him. What utter trash.
Pure brain cancer, mc is a complete pushover that would watch his friends burn just not to use his wealth and power. Don’t read if you’re not in to complete simps and green hats. The mc is severely lacking in Iq and leadership abilities and is toyed with by everyone.
For those or you who keep insulting the MC I think you need to consider not every character is supposed to be perfect. Flawed characters who grow and develop are way more interesting. This is a fun read for people who like shows like succession or webtoons like the remarries empress.
It has lots of intriguing parts; I definitely need to read more. But so far, I really like it. ML has many red flags, but I guess red is my fav color, haha

Honestly, he's the most useless mc I've ever read. He has soooo much power but can't do anything. He loves a wife that has no desire to be with him, unless theres another woman involved and then shes jealous. He has the ability to cut loose ends but doesn't. But complains about it throughout the entire story. The plot is even more atrocious as its been used 80 times in the past month. So to put it frankly; it's a sh*tty story.

For a man whose supposedly an "emperor" of the "New World Order", he acts like a total cuck, a pushover and a hotheaded loser that just completely throws away any common sense. Furthermore, why would you ever let the mc be like this? I can understand that he just wants a normal life with his wife, but to make this as irritating as possible by not doing the obvious simple solutions like, I don't know, maybe eliminating all of them one by one in an excruciating way? Like I get that you need word count, plot, drama, and etc. But what is it really for? A typical Chinese story plot of face slapping?Look, all I'm saying is that this story could be better if the mc had the attributes of a man whose achieved unimaginable greatness. I never intended to be actually malicious, it's just that I was annoyed by the mc more than a lot of the (current) antagonists combined because how he acts despite his upbringing.I hope this was helpful.
