Chapter 6: Exorcist (2)
Both the beautiful woman and the young man were shocked when they heard this voice.
Both of them slowly turned to look in the direction that this voice came from and they saw…that there was a young girl in a shozoku standing there.
This was a girl who was just under five feet with long dark hair and fair white skin. But the most eye-catching thing about this girl were her piercing blue eyes.
It was as if she could see through one's soul with these eyes.
Neither of them knew where this young girl came from, but there she was.
The young man thought that this must be a supernatural space that was isolated from the rest of the world, so normal people wouldn't be able to come in here.
And the beautiful woman was certain of this since she was the one that created this space.
The only things that could come into this space were other yokais or…humans with special powers.
From the aura that came from this young girl, it didn't seem like she was a yokai…
So the beautiful woman was certain that this young girl was a human.
Since she was a human, then the beautiful woman wasn't as worried.
The beautiful woman looked right at the young girl and asked, "What if I don't?"
The young girl gave a sigh before raising her hand.
There was a talisman that was in her hand that had writing on it that seemed to be written in blood. But when one looked at it closely, they would be able to see that it was just red ink.
The young girl held this talisman up before saying, "I won't have a choice then."
The beautiful woman revealed a wide and ugly smile when she saw this before saying, "So you're one of those human exorcists? Do you really think that your puny powers will affect me?"
The young girl shook her head before saying, "No, I'm not an exorcist."
She threw out the talisman and said, "I'm an onmyoji."
As soon as the talisman landed on the ground, there was a puff of smoke that appeared.
Then after the smoke cleared, there was another beautiful woman that appeared.
This was a beautiful woman with black bob cut hair, fair skin, and red lips dressed in a black kimono.
But there were two things that attracted one's attention when they looked at her.
One was the large metal spiked club that was on her back.
The other were the pair of horns that were on her head.
The Slit Mouthed Woman knitted her brows slightly when she saw this before she said with a disdainful smile, "A familiar?" Then with a disdainful laugh, she continued, "How could a yokai that was weak enough to be tamed by humans possibly do anything to…"
Before she could finish speaking, she suddenly felt that something was missing.
When she looked down, she found that her hand holding the pair of scissors was missing.
There was a momentary pause before blood started spurting out of the part of her arm that remained.
The Slit Mouth Woman suddenly grabbed her severed arm and screamed out in pain.
When she grabbed her arm, she of course let go of the young man she had been holding who dropped to the floor.
The onmyoji girl quickly came forward to grab that person before running back over behind her familiar.
As she ran past, she couldn't help saying, "Hime, that was taking it a bit too far."
Her familiar oni Hime gave a snort before saying, "It was her own fault for looking down on me in the first place."
The onmyoji girl gave her familiar Hime another look, but she didn't say anything.
It was at that moment that the young man snapped out of his daze and looked at the onmyoji girl to ask, "Who are you? What is going on here?"
The onmyoji girl turned to look at the young man before saying, "There's no need to know. When you open your eyes, you'll be back in the real world."
"Huh?" The young man couldn't help saying, but that was the last thing that he said.
The onmyoji girl had taken out another talisman that she put on the forehead of the young man.
When she suddenly activated it, the young man faded from this world, as if he never existed.
Once that young man was gone, the onmyoji girl turned back to face the Slit Mouthed Woman.
The Slit Mouth Woman had also slowly recovered at this point.
When one looked at her closely, they could see that her arm was slowly regrowing from the stub. But it looked very painful with the way that it slowly regenerated itself.
The Slit Mouth Woman gritted her teeth as she looked at the onmyoji girl before turning back to the familiar to say, "You just got a lucky shot! Don't think that it'll happen again!"
Hime brought her hand back up to take the handle of the spiked club on her back.
When she gripped it, the Slit Mouth Woman couldn't help feeling a chill run down her spine. But she quickly denied it as she said, "No, there's no way that a yokai weak enough to be tamed by a human could be this strong! It has to be a mistake!"
She said this in a voice as if she was talking to herself, while also seemingly jabbing these words at them.
Hime immediately knitted her brows when she heard this.
Then before anyone could react, the Slit Mouth Woman's head had been knocked clean off her body. They hadn't even been able to see the swing of the club that Hime had done.
When the Slit Mouth Woman's head rolled to the ground, her eyes were open in shock.
"How? How did you do that?" That was all the Slit Mouthed Woman could say.
But Hime only said, "It seems that this is all you're worth. You can't even beat a yokai weak enough to become a human's familiar."
The onmyoji girl shook her head before pulling out more talismans and saying, "Alright, stop playing around and let's exorcise her."
Before the Slit Mouthed Woman could say anything else, she was suddenly surrounded by these talismans.
In no time at all, the Slit Mouth Woman's head disappeared.
