As a saintess-in-training, Clover knows better than anyone that getting involved with a God is nothing more than a death sentence. A God’s love has always led humans to one or two things: cursed or dead. They’re meant for being worshipped, not loved, her mother instills in her.
And yet, somehow, Clover finds herself second-guessing this sentiment when a particular God takes an interest in her and whisks her away to the Underworld as his unwilling prisoner. He strikes a deal with her - heal him of the curse that’s plagued him for a millennium and regain her freedom or lose her humanity and become his undying Queen — forever.
Humans had never been a point of interest for Aidoneus. He found them to be pathetic creatures that allowed their emotions to get the better of them — until he met her again. Suddenly, he could understand why men fought to the death and kings waged war over their lovers. As soon as her familiar eyes met his, he knew he would be willing to set the entire world ablaze to keep her warm.
He doesn’t mean to trap her in the Underworld, but he also can’t survive another century without her. This time, he would overturn Fate itself to keep her.

I recently read this book, and I must say it's a literary gem. The author has masterfully crafted a captivating narrative, but what truly sets this work apart is the distinctiveness of each character. From their quirks to their complexities, every character is a unique piece of the puzzle, contributing to a rich and immersive reading experience. The author's ability to breathe life into these characters adds depth and authenticity to the story, making it a truly unforgettable journey. P.S. Author here! Here is my utterly shameless review of my own story! First off, though it is still extremely early, I want to thank each and every one of you who will take a chance on my book. I won't claim that my story is perfect or even that my writing is superb -- it's not. But, I will make sure you know that I pour my heart and soul into crafting my characters, their love story, and the worlds that they reside in. The story of Persephone and Hades is one of my favorite Greek God stories, and I love reimagining them. For that reason, Aideonus and Clover hold a very special place in my heart, and with time, I hope they will come to occupy a spot in your heart as well.
