"Watch you sleep?" Michael repeated Bridget's request, his voice laced with disbelief and a hint of concern. The situation had rapidly shifted from playful banter to an intimate, somewhat precarious scenario. Earlier in the evening, the idea of pursuing a romantic relationship had been a light-hearted suggestion, yet now here he was, standing in Bridget's hotel room, faced with her looking both vulnerable and expectantly at him.
