Synopsis
In White Flower Kingdom, where only spring is welcomed.
General Gion lived for the glory of the kingdom.
The first thing Gion did upon returning alive from the 'Valley of Snow' was to kill the king and queen.
"Gion?"
To be more precise, the parents of the woman he loved.
"Now the throne is your rightful place."
The 17th and only royal descendant of White Flower Kingdom, the noble only daughter of the king, his beloved woman, Princess Rohwa, was thus seated on the throne.
For the glory of White Flower Kingdom, for the life of Rohwa.
And then, he died in front of her. He was certain.
But for some reasons he could hear Rohwa's voice.
"It took a hundred years."
A hundred years after Gion's ‘death,’
White Flower Kingdom had fallen.

At this point Gion is such a 2D Character with no signs of developing, Perhaps we are still in the early chapters of the story. I mean, he only knows how to slaughter. The Princess is quite an enigmatic character, I don't know what's going inside that mind of her. I was surprised he made a blod move to frame Gion about thee death of a certain princecss. The Demon King is acting almighty, but is flawed.
This is an epic war novel. Nonetheless, there aren't so many characters in the story that will make it difficult for the readers to keep up. The focus of the story is toward Gion, the Demon King, and the Princess. Everyone is just secondary. Still, the spotlight placed on the secondary characters when it's their turn is commendable. I felt pity toward Juya's suffering, Hoyeon's death is such a waste; everyone did thier part.
I'm loving the story so far, here's a knight who have been loyal to a kingdom only to betray him. However, I still don't understand the extreme loyalty that he has shown to this kingdom up to this point. I mean, the kingdom has already fallen to the hands of the demons, the princess who sold the country is now the 'lover' of the Demon King, the citizens have turned into demon, so what pushes him to this extent to revive the kingdom?
I am loving the story so far, but the pacing is too fast that its hard for me to catch up with the changes in the story. Also, the shifting POV could confuse the readers. it honestly takes a while to get used to it.
I initially hesitated to read this novel since the introduction seems your cliche asian light novel series. Luckily, I gave it a chance and I am thrilled to read the following chapters. It strays from the conventional formula of a murim and reincarnation novel. The MC is not the MC that we usually see in our favorite series. He's insane.
Very good so far, a little slow at the start, but picks up. Happy to see where this story is going and can't wait to read more. Try reading it too!

The beginning of this story might feel slow, and I nearly stopped reading after the first five chapters. However, the pace accelerates significantly after this point. It is far from typical light novel narratives. The main character, Gion, lacks the conventional traits of a hero; his loyalty to the kingdom is extreme, leading him to betray and even hurt friends and loved ones to restore the fallen kingdom.
