Synopsis
There once was a boy who was an orphan and suffered abuse from his village residents. The only friend he had was the dummy scarecrow on the field, whom he talked to. One day, a wealthy man brutally beat the boy. The next morning, the wealthy man was found dead, and the scarecrow was covered in blood.
Terrified, the villagers were convinced that the scarecrow had come to life to avenge its tormented friend. And it was the last scarecrow ever placed again in the fields, considering it a sign of death.

After scarecrow dolls start appearing in the middle of the streets next to the murdered victims, the city turns disturbed.
Meet Sylvester Crowley, a man whose relentless obsession with cleanliness belies a growing paranoia. He is convinced that his time of death is near after what happened a decade ago.
His coworker Ricardo Wood doesn’t like crossing paths with him and spends time in the company of the nightlife.
And then there is the dancer, Agnes Holloway, who captivates her audience with sultry pole dancing in the club. Yet, beneath the spotlight's glare, she guards a long-buried secret, one that threatens to resurface when the investigation begins.
When the hunt for the mystery scarecrow murderer begins, it is only a matter of time before Sylvester, Ricardo, and Agnes get entangled, each protecting a secret of their own.

Another great book from dear author Ash Knight. The first six chapters introduced all the characters in such a wonderful way. With the theme of murder and mystery has me waiting for more. ❤️ Excited to see what’s in store.

An intriguing story from the very beginning. It begins with at least four compelling mysteries that I expect in the end to be flawlessly intertwined and tied together as per Ash's usual style. I look forward to being disturbed and thrilled by her suspenseful writing as the mysteries and their resolutions are slowly developed and brought to life through her writing. Come join the fun.
