The characters in the story are immersing to read about. Honestly, the main characters aren't giving as much as they should. They could do better. It feels like Aurelius and Marcella are overshadowing them. I'm down for a prequel. I like the chemistry between Eternia and Alexander. They are my number one ship. It's either giving enemies to lovers or friends to lovers. However, I don't think Eternia views him as a threat. Eternia needs to step up. She could have written better. More inner dialogues perhaps. Her abusive stepmother is a nice addition. As for the Mage, is he the male lead? I'm not sure if he is. It's kind of... I don't know. He's so much older, right? I do like his backstory though. Adrian and Eternia have no chemistry at all. If he is her endgame, it's failing. But I get it though. It would appear like he's grooming her, so I like that this is slow. The antagonists are quite up and down. I don't know how to feel about them yet. Looking forward to seeing how things progress. 💖

Writing quality seems fine. I like the story so far. I like how the king's past is also explained bit by bit. I'd honestly read a separate story about him. As for the main plot, it's hot and cold. It feels slow, but there's a timeskip. The characters are interesting. I love the King the most so far. The Duke of Sapphirepeak and Queen Alexa are interesting antagonists. Eternia and Adrian feels a little bit outshined by the other characters. Alexander, Christopher, and Zachary are cute characters too. They're fun to read. From my observation, the author updates from Mon-Fri. The world background is alright. I like how magical it is. It could be even better. Can't wait to find out who she ends up with 🌸

The personalities of the main characters are done really, really well, and I can't help but to be invested because of the dynamicness of the characters.

I don't want to spoil anything but the characters' personalities are relayed to the readers well. The world is immersive and the plotline goes along the world building well. The Warlock in particular really had me hooked up to continue reading hahaha... he's so cute. I wanted to continue reading it so please update more chapters author-nim. 👍🏻❤️

A meticulously crafted piece with expressive characters, comfortable pacing, impeccable penmanship, and strong storyline. Adrian is mysterious and Eternia is somebody I would love to follow around. Author knows how to reveal one card after other without dumping too much information. An enjoyable read which is definitely worth my time!

First off, I just wanna say that these kind of stories are usually not my cup of tea, BUT, it is definitely worth checking out!! From a technical standpoint this author is very talented - I didn't find myself going in and out of immersion in the story because of constant typos/bad grammar. The dialogue is very rich and believable and the imagery is on point. As far as the plot goes, it's still only 13 chapters deep so I feel like the story is still truly developing and I appreciate that the author is fleshing out each moment and not running through them. The character interactions between the parents and even parent to child is well done(probably one of my favorite points about this series so far). Keep releasing more chapters!! 😁😁

Can I jump into this book? Unfortunately no, but the writing was very immersive, and it really felt like the world of the book was being built up around you. I love the characters, since each one of them have their own special personalities, and they seem very human. Anyways, this is definitely the kind of book I enjoy reading :D

I found this story to be an enjoyable read overall. While the world-building is well-presented, there's still room for enhancement to truly elevate it to its full potential. The plot is intriguing, though the pacing could use some fine-tuning. Nevertheless, I'm fascinated by the magic system and the rich history woven into the narrative. The characters are a highlight for me, with each one skillfully portrayed with unique personalities and backgrounds. However, some secondary characters overshadow the main ones, and certain character dynamics have more chemistry than others. One aspect that particularly piques my curiosity is the potential romance between the male and female leads. The contrast between his ancient warlock persona trapped in a child's body and her childhood innocence adds an interesting dynamic. While romance may not be on the horizon yet due to the timeline of the story, I'm eager to see how their relationship unfolds in the future. Overall, I would recommend this story to readers who appreciate fantasy, romance, and historical fiction.

Very well written structurally with strong prose. The story is interesting and it hints at deeper lore, while the political intrigue and familial struggles give the story more layers. Very interesting and we'll - flowing , I recommend you read this.

The blend of royalty and magic is an interesting part of the story. I enjoyed the characters' backgrounds and their interactions. The character design and world-building seem to be the strongest part of the story, however, the pacing and development of the story can be enhanced further to add more depth. Overall, it's an interesting introduction to a potentially promising story in the current chapters. There are so many engaging ways it can develop to.

Hi! Author here 🌸 🌟 Book Review: "The Mage and I" 🌟 As the author of "The Mage and I," I am thrilled to share this enchanting tale with readers who love to lose themselves in the realms of magic, romance, and adventure. Crafting this story has been a journey of discovery and imagination, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to bring Eternia and Adrian's world to life. In "The Mage and I," readers will meet Princess Eternia, a courageous young woman destined for greatness despite the constant threats to her life. Alongside the ancient warlock Adrian, she faces challenges, uncovers secrets, and forms unbreakable bonds that will shape her destiny as the future queen. One of the moments I particularly enjoyed writing was the thrilling ogre attack scene, where Eternia's bravery shines through as she defends her friends against danger. Additionally, delving into the past of Eternia's parents, Queen Marcella and King Aurelius, added depth to the story, exploring themes of love, duty, and sacrifice. As Eternia's journey unfolds, readers can expect a blend of drama, romance, and mystery, with moments of action and magic that will keep them eagerly turning the pages. And amidst the excitement, the budding romance between Eternia and Alexander adds a heartwarming touch to the narrative. However, I must provide a warning to readers: "The Mage and I" contains themes of abuse, mental health disorders, self-harm, profanity, violence, and sexual content. While these elements contribute to the complexity of the story, they may be triggering for some readers. Thank you for reading! I appreciate everyone's support and hope you continue to join me in this journey as Eternia and Adrian's story unfolds. Together, let's explore the depths of magic and love in the captivating world of "The Mage and I." I MIGHT WRITE A SEPARATE NOVEL ABOUT MARCELLA AND AURELIUS✨️
