Jalen started his last day of high school like any other 18-year-old, ready to face the world with dreams of making it big with as little effort as possible. However, during his last moments threading through the familiar hallways of his school in a time ripe for celebration, his phone rang, bringing with it devastating news.

“Mom collapsed again. The doctor says…”

His heart sank as he witnessed his mother’s demise. A day that should’ve been his crowning achievement in life so far quickly spiraled into his worst nightmare. The people he once held dear turned their backs on him. Despair sank its claws into him, dragging him into the hungry streets of Hermosville before he could end it himself. When all hope seemed lost, he wondered, what is the point of this never-ending cycle of pain and anguish?

“You are traversing on a path of self-destruction, mortal.” A mysterious golden-eyed monkey appeared like the light at the end of an endless tunnel. “Follow me, and I’ll make better use of you.”

Faced with no other option, he must discard his humanity and embark on a journey as a newborn Cosmic God, or else, everything he holds dear will cease to exist. The Cosmic God in charge of Earth and the surrounding galaxies has gone missing, and without a God at the helm overseeing things, its divine energy, the very phenomenon that grants superpowers will end it all.

Many benefits came with his new stature, as one would expect, the creation of a cosmos possible at the snap of his fingers. But also many responsibilities and enemies. Demons, angels, and other gods; all vying for a piece of his power. Those who dare to defy him or the people he safeguards will face two options: submission or annihilation.
