A Rulers Hope

Kontororu was a ruler of a great empire, the most feared empire that nobody would dare to revolt against. This was all because it was ruled by non-humans. Not elves, not dwarves, no races like that. Despite the empire being a fairly welcoming and peaceful place, people feared it because it was ruled by a species of myth. A species of shapeshifters that gained power by drinking one's blood. Hence Kontororu's nickname., the blood queen. Despite it being the strongest empire, four empires banded together to destroy this empire, and now the survivors, including Kontororu are now on the run. (In the novel, Kontororu will be referred to as konto because I'm too lazy to write the full name)
