Abyss Mage Dethroned God

A story of mages and monks.
The monks use the power of natural energy (referred to as 'chi'), the mages, well, magic. It features a bit of technological advancement beyond the 18th century.
The main character Usher Corke is a 26 year old warrior monk(Sohei) in the Monkogon temple.
The monks ancestors, in order to protect their generation from the mages built an impenetrable wall made of natural energy referred to as 'Monkogon', infused by different elements. This was done after what was termed 'the third mage war', and to the mages referred to as the 'third monk war'. In recent times, after about a decade of negative peace, the mages came to a conclusion that the monks were situated on a location of the earth where over a few years they would be able to amass more natural energy according to calculations and would turn on the mages and destroy them for good. This was true and was in fact the plan of the monks.
It was discovered by a mage spy. This leads to a plan for revolution by the mages and the carefully curated long-time plan begins!
