Chapter 64: Who rides with who?

It took me only a short while to realize that we were standing just by the large stables of the palace, and Prince Alistair had already taken four horses out.

I threw a hand in the air. "Wait a minute. You mean like… right now?"

We were supposed to leave at this very moment? I wasn't even wearing the right clothes. I can't possibly go while wearing this long-sleeved light blue dress.

The Crown Prince trudged closer towards us, his gold-embroidered blue tunic peeking out of the ivory cloak. "Yes, we're heading to the outskirts of the East today. It's going to be a one-day travel so we should head out while it's still morning."

Lavi shrugged from beside me. "That's fine with me."

I shook my head several times. "I have to inform my personal maid first, and the knights—they'll be worried sick." 

Erion's lips tugged into a comforting smile. "My mother will take care of that."
