Kian has always been “the weird sick boy.”
Hospitals, tests, and pills never explain why his veins glow like faint starlight whenever his emotions slip or why streetlights flicker, phones die, and time itself seems to stutter around him.
The truth is worse than any diagnosis.
Inside Kian lives Astra, an ancient cosmic force that chooses one human vessel every thousand years. To the world, he’s a dangerous anomaly. To secret cults, he’s a sacrifice. To Dr. Havel, the cold genius who raised him in a lab, he’s perfect property that escaped.
His only shield is Nyra a fierce, sarcastic girl who appears just as everything falls apart. She claims she was born for one mission: protect him. Nyra reveals that Kian isn’t just a random boy; he’s the lost Crownhost of Astra, a prince from an alien civilization called Astra Nest, hidden beyond the thin places between worlds. Years ago, the elders erased his memories and sent him to Earth, fearing what would happen when Astra fully awakened.
Now the awakening has started.
As Kian and Nyra run from town to town through thin spots in reality, haunted dreams of balconies under a river of stars, and near-captures by Havel’s team Kian’s power grows wilder and more aware. Astra whispers in his mind, tempting him to rewrite everything the way he wants. The Nest is watching. Havel is hunting. Cults are waiting.
While Kian struggles to control the living starlight in his blood, he also faces a more human problem: he’s falling for the girl who was trained to guard him… and his feelings for Nyra might become his greatest weakness.
Between two worlds and one dangerous destiny, Kian must decide:

or awaken as Astra’s Crownhost and choose his own fate
