Chapter 14: Meeting Felicia's Parents
They arrived back at the car.
It was a convertible car so the top had been open from the start of their journey. If the car engine didn't suddenly stop working Felicia would have been able to use the button that allowed the roofing of the car to return.
Right now the seats were completely drenched, the floor of the car was flooded as well and everything looked wet.
They would have taken shelter within the car if this wasn't the situation.
Azaroth proceeded to open the side of the car causing a stream of water to flow out.
Felicia had a look of frustration on her face as she noticed that practically every internal part of her car was wet.
After opening all the doors and allowing the water to flow out, Azaroth sat in the driver's seat and tried starting the engine again.
Zzhhrrrhhhh~ Zhooom!
To their surprise, the engine picked up this time.
They were thinking they'd have to call a towing company to come to get the car along with them out of here but that wasn't necessary anymore.
"Looks like luck is on our side," Azaroth muttered as he turned to the side to stare at Felicia.
"Come on, let's go," He beckoned at her.
Felicia stared at the passengers' seat and even without saying anything Azaroth could tell that she was reluctant because it was wet.
He proceeded to take off his shirt which was wet some minutes back but currently looked dry.
"What are you doing?" Her eyes widened as she stared at the outline of Azaroth's upper body that was only clothed with a singlet now.
His chest was all perked up displaying his fascinating muscular upper frame through the singlet.
Azaroth proceeded to cover the passenger seat with his shirt before staring at Felicia, "Come on," He said while tapping on the seat twice.
Felicia was once again mesmerized by his actions and proceeded to seat, instantly feeling the lingering warmth from Azaroth's body on the shirt.
Azaroth drove off into the distance a moment later, gliding through the dark road.
In about thirty minutes they were back on the main road that led to the college as well as the neighborhoods where people who attended resided in.
It wasn't as busy as it would be normally due to the heavy rain that had just finished pouring.
Azaroth asked Felicia for directions to her home and in another ten minutes, they arrived there.
Felicia's place was situated in a very rich neighborhood with a lot of security but the moment the guards in that area noticed the vehicle they let them pass unhindered.
In this particular neighborhood, Felicia's home was the second to the last, positioned at the far end. It was a massive butter and green colored duplex with complex designs.
It reeked of wealthiness just by the way structure and the surroundings where exotic-looking flowers could be seen planted around.
Beautiful gardens that looked well managed and a pool behind with a very wide yard that was used to play golf positioned by the side as well.
Felicia's parents and two officers could be seen standing outside the front porch.
As they noticed Felicia's car they quickly moved towards where Azaroth parked.
"Honey..." Her mum was the first to voice out as they arrived in front of the car.
The instant they both stepped out of the car, Felicia's mum hugged her even though she was soaking wet.
"Sweetie, are you okay?" Her father also moved to the side and pulled her in for an embrace after her mother let go of her.
"Dad... You're around," She sounded excited as she hugged her father back.
Azaroth was completely ignored for about thirty seconds as both parents showed public affection to their daughter while the cops kept scrutinizing him.
Azaroth reached out to take his rumpled shirt from the passenger seat and put it on.
Even though it was cold, the moment it made contact with his body it started turning warm.
"And who is this young man?" Felicia's father asked from the side after he noticed Azaroth putting on his shirt.
"Oh is he the partner you mentioned?" Her mum asked Felicia with a hinting look.
"Yes... mum, dad this is Jonathan... My project partner," Felicia stated while gesturing at Azaroth.
"Nice to meet you young man, I'm Paul, Felicia's father," The forty-year-old looking man with dark brown hair reached out to give Azaroth a handshake as he spoke.
It was quite noticeable that his eyes were shaped just like that of Felicia's.
"Nice to meet you too, Mr. Paul," Azaroth stretched out his hand and shook it respectfully while still donning a strong gaze.
Felicia's mum also introduced herself and shook Azaroth's hand as well.
Felicia's parents explained that they were just about to send a search party out which was why the cops were here. It was currently ten pm so they were quite worried since they couldn't get through to Felicia.
Felicia explained to them what had happened and how Azaroth helped with her a lot today.
Her parents gaze turned more respectful and kind as they thanked Azaroth for everything before sending the cops on their way.
"Alright Councilman Paul, feel free to consult us at any time if any sort of situation arises again," The cops respectfully voiced out as they walked towards their car parked on the other end.
Paul thanked them as well, glad that they weren't offended since this was practically a false alarm.
"Can you come inside with us, please? Let's get you all warmed up," Mr. Paul suggested to Azaroth from the side.
Felicia's eyes shimmered as she heard this and turned to stare at Azaroth waiting for his answer.
"No thank you, I have to get going now it's already late," Azaroth declined, causing Felicia to feel disappointed.
"You can decide to stay for only a few minutes, how about just one cup of hot coffee or tea to show our appreciation," Mr. Paul insisted.
Felicia hopes started getting raised again as she heard this but to her disappointment, Azaroth refused once more.
"There's no need to worry about that Mr. Paul, maybe next time. I appreciate the offer but I'll have to be on my way now," Azaroth stated before nodding at them and turning around to leave.
They all bid him farewell at this point knowing that they couldn't convince him to come in.
"What a fascinating young man... Why does he have such a compelling manner of speech," Mr. Paul couldn't help but voice out in admiration as he walked into the house together with Felicia and his wife.
"I'm glad you see it too dad... He's just different," Felicia said with an immense look of admiration.
"We're glad our daughter finally brought a boy home for the first time even though he didn't come in," Felicia's mum voiced out from the side.
"Mum! things are not that way!" Felicia shouted out with an embarrassed look.
"Yeah he's just as weird as you, refusing the invite of a councilman... no has ever done that," Mr. Paul said with a burst of light laughter as he chided Felicia.
"Come on dad..."
Their giggles and laughter could be heard from outside the home even after they had walked in.
The moment Azaroth arrived on the main road he charged forward.

His figure turned blurry as he disappeared into the distance with speed.

Minutes later Felicia was laying on her bed after a warm shower and dinner.
She was currently having a video call with her friends who were also worried about her earlier.
They were glad she had returned home safely and asked her to give them the full breakdown of how the day went with Azaroth.
Occasional giggles and gasps of surprise could be heard in the room as Felicia narrated everything that had happened today.
-"So he turned down your friendship offer?" *Avery*
"Yes, but he was being so sweet with the things he did... I can't help but like him even more, but I don't know how to get through to him... what do I do girls?"
-"Wow this is hard... the fact that he treats you like this while saying he doesn't want to make friends, makes things even harder... if he didn't care about you he wouldn't even do all those things," *Nicole*
-"Or maybe he's just a decent human being that acts like this with everyone even though he doesn't want friendship..." *Candice*
