Chapter 26: Gains
Zack entered the gym and walked up to the front desk, having already taken out his phone. The man standing there didn't notice him initially, because he was busy scrolling through memes on his phone.
When the man noticed a movement out of the corner of his eye, he turned to face Zack. The man eyed him up and down, confusion clear on his face. Zack looked familiar but the man couldn't quite put a finger on it.
"Membership barcode?" he asked, while still trying to figure out where he'd seen Zack before. Had he seen him from a naughty video? Or was he a part of a trending meme recently?
"Right here, Rob." Zack then raised his phone up so that Rob could scan the barcode displayed on his phone. Rob was taken aback by being called by his nickname, but after scanning the barcode he remembered him.
"Oh snap, I haven't seen you in too long my guy! Where have ya' been, Zack?"
"I've been mega busy with college man, I was being worked to the damned bone for the past three months."

Ok, copy paste section complete. To be honest, I don't have a lot to say today, other than to ask for your thoughts on the story and such, maybe leave a review? My 4.8 rating is gone now and I need to build it back up :S
Uuuuh, I guess I'm finalizing the Ardor System soon, but the full scope of it won't even really be shown in volume 1. I also made a map for the virtual world, but its not entirely done yet. I wonder if there's a word count limit to these. . .
Anyways, I'd like to stress that I'd really enjoy talking with you folks on the discord, or in the chapter comments/paragraph comments. Actually, that reminds me.
If you don't enjoy the real world bits, this story probably isn't for you. Two Worlds Collide, as in the virtual and real one. The real world has to get some focus as well for any "collisions" to be any sorts of fun. Not that I'll be revealing the nature of the collision anytime soon. Maybe in Volume 3? Probably not. Find out by keeping in touch with the world of Aether, yo.
