Chapter 56: Glowing Red
The game of chance soon became a game of hot and cold.
Whenever Nick failed to find Zack in an air pocket, he'd chuck the boulder away, letting it land on the ground with a loud crash.
As Nick got closer and closer, Zack felt continuous shivers go down his spine whenever a boulder would shake the ground.
At the very least though, that was a sign that Nick was coming closer.
A little while later, and Zack was unearthed. Nick quickly sent the boulder flying upon seeing Zack sitting lazily, and then jumped down to greet him.
"You good, bro?" Nick said while reaching out to pull him up.
"Been better, fucked up my right arm a bit. You know how it is," Zack replied, while grabbing Nick's outstretched arm.
Nick then pulled him up to his feet, patting him on the back. "Yeah, I feel ya' man. You need help getting out of here?"
Zack shook his head in response, and then used Acrobatic Burst to jump out of the hole. While he was in the air, he got a good look at the ruined park.

Was still out with Mrs. Flare when I posted this. Nothing much to add from the previous author's thoughts, though we did have some sushi together and spent time snuggling in the gazebo where I first asked her to be my lovely lass. It was cold as shite outside though, so we didn't spend too much time out there.
