Chapter 15: CHAPTER #15:Uneasiness

"Why does he keep looking at me?" I blurted out irritated by his odd behavior.

"Huh? Who is?" Abigail asked looking back at me.

"No, it's nothing," I replied.

-"First he swears an oath to Eirlyn and now keeps staring at me. What is this guy planning?"

I bit my lower lip.

The whole mealtime I could feel his gaze fixated on me.

And then during our walk in the garden, I could feel him staring at me from the fountain area.

This tanned bastard made hell for me the entire morning.

"Luna you look rather pale. Was the medicine not effective?" Eirlyn looked at worrying.

"I think I need some time alone." I smiled awkwardly.

"Then take a rest in the greenhouse. It will lift your mood. Mother and I always go there when we feel that way." She smiled and asked a servant to escort me to the greenhouse.

Upon reaching the empty greenhouse I took a deep breath and took a seat on the bench.

"I feel like dying." I groaned. I looked up staring at the blue sky.

It was warmer in the greenhouse. It felt somewhat nice to escape the bitter morning cold. The garden was nothing but looked as if a big white sheet of cloth wrapped the entire land in it.

The moment I closed my eyes I heard the soft sound of footsteps slowly growing louder. They were directed towards me and stopped.

I opened my eyes slowly only to find the worst luck standing in front of me.

"Good day my lady."

"Right it was this one hell of trashy male lead standing before me."

I sighed openly expressing my irritation.

"What do you want?" I frowned looking at his face.

His eyes were calm as the sea but shone as if flames were ignited in them. And the pitch-black hair that showed the void of the starless night.

The more I looked at his expressionless face the more annoying it was.

"If you want to stare at me like this then better leave. I am not in a mood to deal with anyone right now." I snapped at him without a second thought.

"May the lady give me the permission to have a seat beside her?"

"No!" I immediately refused.

"No need to be so self-conscious my lady. I don't intend to harm you."

"How can I guarantee that?" I raised, my suspicions.

"My lady is quite hostile against me. However, I don't know the reason." He replied ignoring me he sat at the far end of the bench.

"Speak up or leave." I crossed my arms to my chest and looked at him.

"My lady I may not be in a position to ask you this but..."

-"Why is he hesitating so much?"

"But what?"

"What were you doing here in the middle of the night?"

It made no sense of what this boy was talking about in the first place.

"Me?Here? In the middle of the night?" I asked confused.

"Don't you remember?"

"What are you talking about?"

"You were lying on the floor near that flower pot in the middle of the night."

At that moment I realized that what I saw was not a dream but reality.

I flushed in embarrassment and confusion.

"So it wasn't a dream!" I screamed out loud enough to startle him.

"H-how is this possible?" I buried my face in my hands.

"That woman and that voice...it was all real?"

"Precisely. I think you were not so sure of your situation." He let out a small laugh leaving me stunned.

-"How dare he laugh at me?"

I glared at him who tried to control his laughter.

"Well, I'd like to know how you my lord know of this?"

He must have been following me to this place in the middle of the night. Talk about invading a lady's privacy with no shame at all.

"I couldn't sleep well last night since a certain someone kept snoring and hitting me in his sleep." He replied gloomily.

-"I could feel him."

I understood who he was talking about. I wondered if the entire family of Baudelaires had a weird way of sleeping.

"And I saw that flower pot shine before I took you back to your room." He pointed at the flower pot which was my gift.

"I don't know what you are talking about." I looked at the place where it was placed.

"Was that a gift to lady Eirlyn from my lady?" he asked.

-"Why is he being so friendly with me? I hate to even get involved with him."

"So what of it?" I retorted.

"I didn't mean to offend you. It's just that...the gift is unique."

"Unique?" I tilted my head.

"As if it was relaying your message to her." He mumbled under his breath.

"What?" I asked him to be clear.

"It's nothing."He smiled.

" So what if it's unique? Yours was just as weird."

"Mine?"

"Who swears an oath to someone on their birthday on behalf of their family?"

-"Now hurry up and spill up everything you are planning Rowan Aiden."

But to my annoyance, he just smiled and replied to me.

"This isn't the right time to tell my lady about it. When the time comes I may tell you everything. I will be prepared to answer all of your questions by then."

Saying that he walked away with his hands locked behind his back as if he were a parent educating his child.

"Good riddance." I pointed my middle finger at him in frustration as he left.

"Luna here you are. What are you doing in here?" I heard my mother's voice calling out for me.

"Mother, what is it?" I looked up at her.

"It's time to leave my dear. The coachman said that we are lucky to go by carriage today. Since it did not snow heavily as we anticipated." She smiled.

"Sigh*Alright~" I got up and left the greenhouse with her.

"My beauty rest. I just wanted some time to rest."
