Chapter 101: chapter [101]

Riser left Akeno's room with a satisfied smile, feeling rejuvenated after the intimate encounter with her.

Riser walked down the hallway to his room. Upon entering, he saw Sona sitting on the bed, engrossed in a book.

Ignoring Riser, Sona continued her reading, her eyes scanning the pages with interest as she absorbed the content of the book in her hands.

Riser smiled at the sight of her, appreciating the calm and serenity she exuded. Not wanting to interrupt her reading, he headed straight for the bathroom, ready to take a shower and relax after a hectic day.

As Riser took a shower, letting the hot water relax his muscles, his mind wandered to recent events.

After finishing his shower and drying off, Riser stepped out of the bathroom with a towel around his waist. Sona, who was still reading, watched him with a keen gaze.

"Have you had too much fun with Akeno, or do you still have energy to pay attention to your wife?" teased Sona.

Riser smiled, feeling grateful for her presence. He dropped the towel from his waist, revealing his slim and athletic body, and approached Sona with a mischievous smile on his lips.

"I always have energy to pay attention to my wife," replied Riser, his voice soft and warm.

Sona smiled, touched by Riser's words. She closed the book and set it aside, her attention now fully on him.

"You're very kind, Riser," said Sona, her voice soft and affectionate. "And I'm very lucky to have you by my side."

Riser drew closer to her, enveloping her in his strong arms. He lowered his head and captured Sona's lips in a passionate kiss.

As the two surrendered to the warmth and tenderness of the moment, outside the mansion, Kuroka, transformed into a cat, watched the members of Riser and Sona's Peerage training.

"Riser has some powerful people in his Peerage, Nya," murmured Kuroka to herself, observing the training with interest.

Suddenly, Kuroka leaped from a garden tree, gracefully landing on the mansion's grounds. She walked calmly across the lawn, her yellow eyes shining with curiosity.

"Now I need to find an open window to get in."

As Kuroka searched the perimeter of the mansion for an opportunity to enter, Merlin watched her attentively from a safe distance. Her eyes gleamed with interest as she followed the movements of the black cat, noting the subtle magic emanating from it.

"That black cat has too much magic to be an ordinary cat," muttered Merlin to herself, pondering the true nature of the animal.

Suddenly, Merlin reached out her hand toward Kuroka, summoning a purple Perfect Cube that materialized in the air, enclosing Kuroka and trapping her inside.

Merlin walked slowly toward Kuroka, observing her with curiosity.

"Meow," Kuroka said, trying to appear as innocent as possible.

Merlin reached out for the Perfect Cube, making it float towards her with a flick of her finger. She held the cube firmly, her penetrating gaze locking onto Kuroka.

"Meow!"

"It's no use, I can sense your magical power," said Merlin.

With a fluid motion, Merlin teleported to her room, taking the cube with Kuroka inside. She placed the cube on her bed and sat in a nearby chair, watching Kuroka with interest.

"You're a Nekoshou, aren't you?" Merlin asked, her soft voice echoing through the room.

Kuroka remained silent, watching Merlin cautiously, her yellow eyes shining with distrust.

Merlin smiled, noticing Kuroka's hesitation. "Now there are two Nekoshou in this mansion," she added, hoping to elicit a reaction from Kuroka.

The mention of another Nekoshou made Kuroka worried. She pondered about the identity of the other Nekoshou.

"Shirone," Kuroka murmured to herself. "She can't be here, she's from Rias's Peerage."

Merlin observed Kuroka's reaction, noting the tension in her body. She was determined to uncover the truth about Kuroka, no matter how difficult it might be.

"Are you going to keep silent?" Merlin asked, her voice soft and persuasive. "Perhaps I should call the other Nekoshou to confirm."

Merlin turned to leave the room, ready to seek confirmation from Koneko about Kuroka's identity. But before she could leave, a soft voice stopped her.

"Wait," called Kuroka, her voice tense.

Merlin turned slowly, her piercing gaze meeting Kuroka's.

"You finally decided to speak," commented Merlin, her smile revealing satisfaction.

Kuroka took a deep breath, gathering courage to reveal the truth.

"I am Kuroka, a Nekoshou, Nya," she confessed, her voice soft with tension.

"Then can I know why you invaded Riser-sama's property?" asked Merlin.

Kuroka sighed, feeling the weight of Merlin's words on her. She knew she could no longer hide her true intentions.

"Before I answer, can you release this cube so I can return to my other form, Nya?" Kuroka requested, her voice soft with supplication.

"Maybe I should shrink the cube to make you feel tighter," suggested Merlin.

"Please don't," pleaded Kuroka, her voice filled with desperation. "I'll tell you everything, Nya."

"Alright, I'm listening," said Merlin, her voice soft and calm.

Kuroka took a deep breath, gathering courage to reveal the truth.

"I'm here on orders from Ophis," Kuroka began, her soft voice echoing through the room. "She wants Riser as her subordinate, Nya."

Merlin frowned, absorbing Kuroka's words with interest.

"Wait here for a few hours, and you can speak to Riser-sama in person," suggested Merlin.

Kuroka nodded, thanking Merlin for her understanding. She knew she would have to face Riser sooner or later, so she was grateful for the opportunity to explain her actions directly to him.

"Changing the subject, is there another Nekoshou here, Nya?" asked Kuroka, her curiosity piqued by the mention of another creature like her.

"Yes, Koneko," replied Merlin, her voice soft and calm.

"Can I know what she's doing here, Nya?" asked Kuroka, her soft voice tinged with curiosity.

Merlin took a deep breath, her impassive expression revealing little about her thoughts.

"You ask too many questions for a prisoner," replied Merlin.

Kuroka lowered her head in apology, acknowledging her intrusion.

"Apologies, Nya," murmured Kuroka. "It's just that Koneko is my sister."

Merlin nodded, understanding the connection between Kuroka and Koneko.

"That's something Riser-sama will decide whether to disclose or not," explained Merlin, her soft and calm voice. "But rest assured she's being well-treated."

"Thank you, Nya," Kuroka thanked.

Merlin shrugged, her serene expression revealing little about her true feelings.
