Chapter 32: Prelude to War…

Okay for the past years that have passed I have been studying up on the new Alchemy I have created using Ethernano in the atmosphere, items, or the very earth for the last few 2 years after I got a certain grasp of what they can do.
The last 2 years make Mavis and I 15 years old of age and considered by the eyes of the Kingdom as legal adults by our peers although I'm disgusted that the standard age for adults starts at 13 but I digress.
All my research and experiments have been steadily doing well along with me now being proficient in this style.
Sadly, though other than my Archive, Healing, Telekinesis, Dispel, and Enchant magic I seem to be struggling with the rest of the Magic I gained as if they aren't meant for me.
I addressed this to Mavis 2 years back as she told me it was natural for me to have more difficulty in those types of Magic probably because I wasn't best suited to learn from them, to begin with.
An example would be us for one.
Mavis has a scary understanding of based Illusion Magic because it's her innate Magic ability but later down the line that wasn't much the case more so more attuned to the light side of Magic and decent in her Telekinesis Magic.
She's even proficient in Enchant which she has fun with using Telekinesis once I told her she could fly using it on herself.
I had to make her come down using Dispel as I won't let anyone see my girl's panties out in the open!
Hmph!
But I on the other hand with my Archive Magic being my innate for info-based kinds of Magic that require more understanding like Enchant seemingly makes it easier for me to understand to create than with others.
Although I'm not slacking off with the other spells that I use frequently to train with Telekinesis since it's easier as it focuses on the mind and controlling the matter something I'm surely attuned to with Alchemy in that regard.
Dispel is more or less an easy spell to do on one target multiple not so much, and Healing Magic is enough said as I have a higher understanding of the human body and the effects it has on Magic or Ethernano in that regard.
And it worked wonders for my body for that matter.
I still kept the Phoenix Stone on my person at all times when I finally have enough to create a Philosopher Stone which I had half of my mind turning into a Philosopher Stone before I shook my head at the idea.
It was better to have it as it is for now till I can use one created by humans to change or transfer into my heart.
Don't get me wrong though I could always make one of the Stones using the Ethernano in the air sadly though while it's possible… the process wasn't.
Because of the natural nature of the Ethernano in the air, I can create it for just about anything for use so long as I know what I'm making and last I checked purely out of fear mind you I'm not going to create life or a soul out of magic.
Not unless I want a God of Life and Death to curse me like poor old Zeref so yeah…
There are things even I wouldn't try out of fear of those pesky Gods best to be safe than sorry right?
The best I could use Ethernano in the air is practically almost anything… I say almost because there are some abstracts or elements, I can't fully manipulate into being, or at least I haven't figured out yet.
Such cases as gravity, time, space, speed, slow, bonds, etc.
Like I said before not everything but creating or transmuting my body into the elements makes me immune to physical attacks normally or turn them on my opponents like Logia's from One Piece with a hint of Body Manipulation Magic.
Even managed to get some rare metals from Miner Guilds doing some jobs for them on Quest to help reform some materials I managed to keep for their help and my artwork of crafting their Magic Items.
One of the few items I managed to get from the Miner Guilds during my quest was one of the few metals and stones used to fight against mages Maginium along with Magic Sealing Stones for me to study and create using the Ethernano from the Earth to craft them into my Weapon Transmutations via Lance, Sword, and Hammer.
Magic Sealing Stones, a type of mineral that blocks a Mage's use of Magic when in contact with it. Typically used for incarceration such as handcuffs and prison cells.
Maginium, is another known mineral that negates Magic, however rather than sealing a Mage's Magic Power, this metal simply repels any Magic attacks that attempt to strike it.
Maginium just so happens to be one of the few more powerful metals out there that can repel any Magic attacks and I had a whole lot of fun researching the exact molecular bonds to deconstruct forming weapons for my Guild members that are interested.
Something that I have carefully taken care of info gathering as of late the same with Precht in that regard when I let him in when the war with the feudal lords will escalate with Wizards joining.
Not much longer since the news of Wizard Mercenary was heard meaning our time of adventures is coming to an end soon enough.

Currently, I'm now outside of Magnolia with Warrod, Yuri, Precht, and Mavis looking at me curiously this time as I spoke to them cheerfully, "So you guys want to see a new Alchemy I found out with Mavis's help of course after testing the new Fairy Alchemy thanks to Mavis help a few years back?"
Listening to my words Yuri shrugs but the excited smile on his face didn't hide the fact of how excited he is, "Sure. I mean it must be some pretty cool stuff that you found out while studying in your hidey hole for the last few years."
At this Mavis chimes in having her own notepads at the ready criticizing Yuri for my work with a light blush on her face, "I wouldn't be too sure Yuri. From studying firsthand his new Fairy Alchemy... It's something that I don't understand myself but with the amount of work Rou did it must be something revolutionary. That's what I believe in."
Listening to Mavis's words Warrod looked surprised by the information as he replied to her in a curious tone, "Huh? Really? In that case, if this Fairy Alchemy as he calls interests you consider me invested in this experiment. We might witness something really grand in the making."
Yuri then leans on a tree grinning at me moving his hand and gesturing for me to start showing my new Alchemy being cheerful towards me, "Alright! Alrighty then enough small talk! I want to see what this Fairy Alchemy you learned Rou!! You are hyping it up is already exciting to see."
Smirking at that I nodded as I gazed towards the sky as began to inhale deeply trying to convert the Ethernano in the air after trial and error figuring out the ins and outs.
"Zzzzz…"
Raising my fist up away from any harm of course feeling the intense heat of me increasing the materials needed as I draw forward the Ethernano as I'm using my Gate to bypass the natural needs of Transmutation Circles thus creating whatever runes I'm missing to fill in the gaps and medium needed to activate the energy forth.
"Fffzzzz…"
During my time testing out this Fairy Alchemy of mine it was difficult to fully grasp how to properly use it in the beginning as I felt the fire in the palm of my hand is the same feeling as Fire Magic yet different at the same time.
This is different than usual each time.
Mavis's eyes widen as she immediately sensed the output I'm doing as I keep the ball of fire in my hands exclaiming the purple particles as the sparks of Alchemy fueling the fireball, "Rou is that what I think it is?!!"
Listening to hear I see the three are confused as Yuri exclaims confused in her shock, "What? I really don't see the difference here. Isn't he just using Magic though in the end?"
Nope.
I smirked as Mavis comes closer examining the fireball with her eyes widening in pure shock sensing me next as I express a smug look, "You aren't using your own Magic Power or Origin to fuel it aren't you? What you're doing won't make him lose any Magic reserves at all… Fairy Alchemy is the alchemy that allows the Alchemist to wield Magic by using the Ethernano itself present… a literal infinite Magic source without relying on your own origins... Amazing!!!"
Smirking at this I nodded as Yuri, Warrod, and Precht had wide-eyed expressions as I release my Alchemic Energy inside the small sphere of fire while wielding the fireball not sensing no magic being drained from my reserves but using the air nay the Ethernano itself.
In a sense, I can say use infinite Magic Spells spamming using the Ethernano in the air condensing, deconstructing, or reconstructing to whatever I wish it to be to an extent but it's good enough.
Still need to make more tests to figure out more out there but for now, this is a good start.
"Ssss…"
Closing my hand as the ball of fire ceases returning back into Ethernano with Precht smirking behind his coat, "Hmph! I knew you two were brilliant in your own rights, but this is really ridiculous. But then again considering who were talking to… it's too expected you two would create something wonderful."
He shook his head as I laughed nervously giving them what Fairy Alchemy can currently do, "Haha… yeah. Although at best I can use the normal elements to form magic-based attacks using Fairy Alchemy. I can still use other Alchemy present in the air like so…"
*Zzzz*
"Splash!"
Closing my hands together and using the natural water vapors in the air I began to transmute it into the water as I continue talking, "Like the water vapor in the air to create Water from the air. But in the end though so long as I can use my environment of materials around me then I can wield matter in the palm of my hands. Just the matter of finding the right Transmutation –"
*Shiii*
Before I could continue our eyes got hit by a blinding magic light as we briefly shielded our eyes Mavis holding a letter confused as she opens up reading the contents, "Hello Guild Wizard Fairy Tail Mavis Vermillion we have come to make a request of your time immediately! The Feudal Lords of this portion of the Kingdom wish for you and other guilds to assist in this Second Trade War while rewarding you as the spies found enemy Wizards are participating along with other Guilds joining the cause! You will be gorgeously awarded for your work sign, Duke Fiores."
Mavis scrunches at this but she already knew we can't deny a request of the Feudal Lords because they help provide trades to Magnolia needed.
Denying such requests will make them force our hand unless the war takes a bad turn…
Sigh…
Guess it's time to fight a war then huh?
Might as well use that chance to create more Philosopher Stones and with high death counts no one will notice a few missing dead bodies killed off this war.
