Synopsis
Richard Maddox, a once-promising football prodigy, dreamed of becoming a star. But just as his dream was within reach, it was abruptly shattered when he banged his head on the goalpost, fracturing his skull. Forced into early retirement, Richard vanished from the public eye.
People thought Richard Maddox was done for. However, no one expected that during his unconscious state, his spirit detached from his body. He drifted through time, witnessing the world of football from the perspective of a ghost. It was strange, unpleasant, yet exciting. No need for tickets or travel—he could simply fly.
England, Italy, Spain, Germany—the best football countries in Europe—and even the passionate South America, the energetic Africa, and the growing Asia—Richard observed the rise and fall of football giants, all from the sidelines.
However, watching football from the other side was quite different from experiencing it live. He missed the cheering, singing, and chanting with the other fans. No one could hear him now. No one could watch football with him. He was... alone.
Just as Richard was about to be bored to death, his soul was sucked back, and he realized that only an entire year had passed.
'Interesting,' he thought, laughing. “I could bet, invest in companies that will succeed in the future, and get rich. Bitcoin, I'm coming, baby.”
but who could have guessed that Richard would dive so deep into the world of football—From owning a single share to testing the waters as a scout, trying his hand as an agent, and eventually stepping into the world of coaching, before finally diving into the realm of football club ownership.
It has truly been a full spectrum of football, the highs and the lows. Join us as we welcome Richard Maddox!

Write a reviewI love the fact that it wasn’t just a sudden situation where he got money and instantly became a football club owner. I also like the pace and the details, like the betting and the property market arc. Keep up the good work, author [img=recommend]
A very good novel in this genre. The story flows smoothly and is gripping enough to not lose our attention. good read ✌️
A very well written Football series that is both educational and fun to read. One of best written novels i've seen on webnovel, which reminded me of The hitting zone(totally different stories, but I felt a similar vibe/quality/flow from it)____ Worth a read for anyone with even the slightest interest in football.

Very good novel, I find the concept interesting. However, it seems strange that no one becomes suspicious after winning every bet and generating over 300 million pounds. The only downside is the number of chapters—I started reading without checking the count, and when I finished, I thought, "Where are my other 300 chapters?"
Great story, interesting protagonist, and looking forward to more. The only flaw is that the transitions between periods are done somewhat crudely, otherwise the development is reasonable. Keep up the good work.
On chapter 40 and overall probably one of the most unique fics it isn’t just about football it ventures to wrestling, gambling etc. Keep going author
Reveal SpoilerOverall I I like the novel, it’s something new and I think it has big potential, however I would like it if you help Chelsea or join them in someway. (Personal request)
Reveal SpoilerHi! Your writing is so vivid and detailed, it actually feels ready to jump into panels. Your writing feels like it was meant to be drawn. The flow, the framing, the way you capture emotion, it’s the kind of storytelling that breathes in pictures. There were too many 'doesn't make any sense' moments in this novel: 1. Got hundreds of millions of pounds sterling from too many correct bets in the World Cup and Euros? The bookmakers wouldn't allow it and MI6 would have kidnapped him to know his secrets. 2. MC bet too many times on England losing. The Three Lions die-hard fans and hooligans will kill you, because it was an act of treason! I still remember the moment when Frank Lampard's goal was canceled by the referee, a few days later he got too many death threats from the fans. You underestimated the value of football for the Brits. 3. From the money he got from gambling and selling properties, he should have had enough money to buy Man United for cheap before the vampires (Glazers) bought the club. Yet, he chose a bottomless pit like Man City as his target. What a moron! 4. What made me stop reading this novel was when the MC chose a fresh graduate Marina (Abrahamovic's subordinate) as Man City's sporting director. Are you kidding me?! Even Abrahamovic chose Peter Kenyon after he bought Chelsea in 2003. Later after Marina had gained enough experience, Abrahamovic appointed her.
