"Why are you unpacking your clothes here?" Mother Tess raised her brows at Jade. Her confuse gaze made her earn a scowl from the young woman who tucked baby Eli on the bed. 

Little Sam was sleeping on the bed as well, and seeing them next to each other gave her peace within. 

"Where should I unpack my clothes then? Or do you mean we should get two separate rooms instead?" Jade pouted sadly. 

"You know that's not what I meant." Mother Tess crosses her arms over her chest. She has a blank expression, giving Jade an 'Are u serious?' look. 

"Mother..." She sighs in defeat. "You know I can't do that." She sat beside baby Eli and caresses his soft cheek. 

"Why can't you? Your husband and wife, that's pretty normal." 

"But he can't remember me right now." She whines.
