Chapter 173: Night Raid Part I

Sage sat quietly on her side of the plush red couch while her eyes gazed out at the dark sky. 

"This world would seem so much brighter if it had stars," she said to no one in particular. 

"But the Abyss isn't such a world," Kensei replied. 

Sage glanced at the man sitting beside her. His form had changed since he'd evolved to level four which incidentally was the fastest recorded power-leveling case for the entire Abyss. 

The silver-haired Kensei still wore the same blue haori as before, but the muscles hidden underneath seemed even thicker than before. Four spider limbs protruded out of his back, a clear indication that he'd reached second evolution as a blade savant. 

"I like it this dark," Kongo added from his seat opposite Sage. "It's good lighting for covert ops…"
