Chapter 81: Siege
"Argh…" Leo breathed hard through gritted teeth.
"Hold on, Leo," Morgana said. "Just a little longer…"
Morgana was in the midst of pumping her own soul energy into his soul core, and for Leo, this process was as excruciating as being repeatedly punched in the gut.
"I can do this," Leo whispered more to himself than Morgana.
Eventually, in what felt like hours to Leo's mind but, in fact, took only minutes, the pain subsided and Leo began to feel the euphoric feeling that came with absorbing essence. This told him that his body was beginning to accept the alien energy that was mixing in with his own, and that connection what they were waiting for.
"Soul link has been established, Leo," Morgana reported. "You can go wild now…"
Leo didn't respond. His brain was too busy reveling in the feeling of power that was now coursing through him.
Was this how Morgana regularly felt, he wondered.

Man, Leo's new skill is pretty dope, right? i actually just thought about this extention to his ability while I was writing the chapter because I was tired of Leo just watching from the sidelines and I wanted a way for him to finally step into the frontlines. ;P
I'm currently working on the next chapter. It was supposed to be a double release tonight but I'm having a hard time finishing this other one... sorry. It might just get moved to tomorrow instead.
