Chapter 250: Chapter 250: Before the End
"As you wish, your highness." Said Brienne with a determined voice and looked at Lyle as if she was a dead woman. She would cut her into pieces and let her know the consequences of betraying the king.
Corenna laughed like a madwoman and charged at Brienne herself. She had been hiding her strength for years to kill Brienne at a time like this, and she finally had her chance. But Corenna was not the only one who had been training in those years. If Corenna trained for an hour a day, then Brienne trained for five.
And the result of this fight did not take a few minutes before coming out when Corenna's sword flew away. As for Corenna's group, Oberyn and his daughter had already taken care of them while the other two Kingsguards got killed by Arya.
"This is for scheming and hiding all this." Said Brienne as she cut Lyle's right arm, making her scream from pain. The surprising thing was Corenna's action after screaming. The crazy woman started to laugh out loud as if she did not care.
"This one is for hurting prince Wilyam and his brothers." Said Brienne before cutting Lyle's left arm. Lyle did not stop laughing, though.
"This one for killing the princess." Said Brienne as she cut Lyle's left leg.
"This one for everyone in the empire." Said Brienne as she cut Lyle's right leg.
"This one for the king!!!" Said Brienne as she stabbed her sword in Lyle's heart. After that, she instructed everyone to leave Lyle's parts for the wolves and the crows to eat.
After seeing everything end with his own eyes, Wilyam asked his dragon to ascend to the ground. His heart did not know how to feel anymore, and it had been long since it turned dumb after all those events.
At first, Edward threw him and Arya to faceless men, who tortured them literately to turn them into assassins suitable for their jobs. Wilyam and Arya had been through a lot during his stay in that house. Not only did they have to kill people, but they turned blind more than once and drank that water themselves.
And after the two finally ended this torture and saw Edward, Edward gave them the bad news. Arya's family died, and Arya did not have time to mourn her family before Edward sent them to get rid of House Frey, responsible for Rob's death. Not long after, they followed Lyonel and Sansa to get rid of House Bolton. And at last, they went to the iron islands to get rid of them.
Before they could even rest, the Night King started his attack on the realm. Fortunately for them, Edward was prepared, and they managed to kill that fucking undead at the cost of Wilyam's brother, Lyonel, and his cousin, Steffon. Before he could solve this problem, his twin sister, Theresa, got killed in her favorite knight's hands, which hurt Wilyam the most.
After getting down from his dragon and looking carefully at the dead Lyle-Corenna, Wilyam could only shake his head with tears in his eyes when he remembered the memories he had with Theresa and Corenna. And in the end, it all came to this point where Corenna killed Theresa and Corenna's death.
Arya was the same because she was on Corenna's side with Theresa and did not expect all this to happen to her sister. But what could she do when even the paranoid Edward and Raymont could not find out about Corenna's real identity. In the end, she stood close to Wilyam while holding his hands to support him.
Arya and Wilyam had decided to leave Westeros for good at this point. Even if the world tried to stop them, they would still go. They had had enough with all this death, and they could not handle anything more.
"What are you planning to do now, your highness?" Asked Brienne with a sad expression as she came from behind after talking with Oberyn. She did not know why the prince followed her and the group in the first place, and she was afraid that something might have happened to the king.
But Brienne could not just leave the prince and his betrothed in this place. She owed this to Edward, her king, and she had to support the prince until the last moment.
Wilyam did not respond at first and only looked at the sky in King's Landing's direction. They had left King's Landing four days ago, and he estimated that the battle was going to end any time in the next two days. Whatever the outcome was, Wilyam was not ready to know it since he would end up hurt in the end.
"I am leaving Westeros. I will prepare for some time before going. You should go back and check the situation there. I hope you could make it before everything is over." Said Wilyam with a calm voice as he looked at Brienne. He had made up his mind this time, and he would not care about anything happening there. He did not even want to hear the result of that battle.
Brienne's expression changed because she sensed something wrong in Wilyam's voice. When Stannis ordered her to follow Corenna and return back with Corenna's head, she did not wait and followed his orders. In the end, she left before Stannis, Raymont, and the group decided to fight Edward to their death.
How could she see Wilyam's words if not something worrying? Brienne's heart turned sour after hearing this, and she could not wait for anything anymore to return to King's Landing. She wanted to be sure that the man she admired and loved from her heart was fine, or she would blame herself even more if the king and his daughter died because of her appearance.
"I will return now, your highness. I hope you have a safe journey." Said Brienne before turning around and leaving with Oberyn and her group. She had done her part and asked Wilyam if he needed anything.
Plus, Brienne had seen and experienced with her own eyes how Wilyam and Arya fought before. Arya even managed to defeat her in single combat. That alone made Brienne sure that they did not need her anymore. Even if Arya was only a little stronger than Wilyam, the two could go anywhere in the world with that dragon.
After seeing that only the two of them remained in this place, Arya turned to her man to check if he was ok with everything happening to his family. When she saw the hurting feeling in his eyes, she could not help but hug him before speaking again.
"What now?" Asked Arya with a calm tone. She knew about Wilyam's dream, and it was her dream as well. But Wilyam was planning for something big, and he wanted to bring many people with him on this journey.
Wilyam wanted to replicate the first men's and the Andals' journey to Westeros, where they had armies and many people with them. But the empire was in trauma right now after Edward went mad. Even the decision-maker in Edward's place, Raymont, was not available, and Arya knew that Raymont might disagree with Wilyam's decision.
"Don't worry. Father prepared everything for me after the death of the Night King. He told me that he knew that I would leave after this battle and prepared everything for me. Seven hundred ships prepared with men and resources are waiting for me in Lys." Said Wilyam with a sad smile on his face as he kissed his love. He could not bring himself to hurt his father after seeing his care.
Wilyam knew how their father loved them from his heart, but his way of showing it was a little disgusting. Wilyam heard how his brother, Raymont, was upset at Edward for forcing him to marry Daenerys without asking for his opinion. Wilyam was sure that his father wanted Raymont as the next king.
If someone came to marry Daenerys one day, they would become a danger for Raymont, and Edward did not want this. It was only Edward's way of doing things that fucked everything and made everyone upset.
"For real? But how did he got so many men to fill all those ships?" Said Arya with a smile on her face for the first time as she looked at Wilyam. She got surprised after hearing that Edward still made preparation for Wilyam even before the war.
