In an alternate history, the discovery of the energy source known as spirit energy and its study propelled human civilization forward 100 years but also with it the awakened, beings who developed shards of spirit energy within their souls who could directly manipulate spirit energy.

Grimore Academy was a school founded to help teach those who have awakened how to control and harness the abilities granted by these shards and investigate the dangers it poses.

Niko and Ayesha are two of the Academy's most promising third year's. Having plenty of talent and a knack for both adventure as well as investigations, the pair already think themselves full fledged investigators.

When mysterious shadows begin to abduct students and an ancient being threatens the entire school, they will be tested in ways they had never prepared for, discover secrets never meant to be learned, and face consequences they never considered.
