Chapter 14: Trouble

Without waiting for Nobunaga and Uvogin to say anything, Loki started walking outside to begin his morning workout, seemingly lost in his thoughts.
Nobunaga and Uvogin looked at each other before shrugging. They decided to not think about the conversation much.
"Phew… Loki is really powerful, though…It makes me excited!" Uvogin said with a grin.
"What are you saying? You can't even touch a hair on Loki, so why are you getting excited?!" Nobunaga said in a mocking tone.
"Heh... I just have to get stronger!" Uvogin said, clenching his fist.
"Are you stupid? Do you think he won't get stronger as well?" Nobunaga continued to mock.
While the two bickered in the corner of the tiny house, Machi, who had overheard the conversation, had a thoughtful look on her face.
Soon Loki finished his morning routine and walked back inside to see Uvogin and Nobunaga smashing rocks. After learning about the practice of enhancers, they took it very seriously. They began to break a thousand stones every day.
Machi was in the corner fiddling with a thin fishing line in one hand and making numbers from one to nine out of her nen with her other hand.
Regarding Machi's new development, it would seem that she already has a clear direction that she wants to take.
Seeing everyone immersed in their own training, Loki sat down in a corner and began his own practice.
When Loki opened his eyes, he got up and stretched a bit. He looked outside and found that it was already nighttime. Loki looked around and saw Machi in her hammock.
"Where are Uvogin and Nobunaga?" Loki asked, seeing that the two of them were gone.
"After the sky darkened, they found that you were still practicing, so they didn't bother you and went back home," Machi said, looking at Loki quietly.
"Want to eat something?" asked Loki while cooking some black rice.
Soon they were both having a quiet meal.
"Machi…" Loki spoke up.
"Um?" Machi looked up at Loki.
"One day, we will leave Meteor City and go to the outside world."
"Um?!"
The two responses were in entirely different tones. Machi stopped eating and calmly looked at Loki.
"Why do you seem shocked? After learning nen, did you want to continue living in Meteor Street?" Loki asked with a smile.
"At least I don't want to. I must see the outside world to get the answers I seek." Loki said with unprecedented firmness. Loki wanted to see if he could correct this broken reality.
"I grew up in Meteor City…." Machi responded after a moment of silence.
Hearing this, Loki thought that she was unwilling when she suddenly spoke again.
"But, I also want to leave here. I had this thought a few years ago."
He looked at Machi with a smile only to see a strange light in her eyes.
"I must go to the Sky Arena after all," Machi said calmly.
Although she spoke calmly, Loki felt that she was more determined than him…
Just how much do you like money…
Thinking this, Loki was speechless. At Least Machi and himself were on the same page on the matter of leaving Meteor City. Thinking of this, however, made him think of another person in Meteor City.
"Chrollo Lucifer… I believe it won't be long until we meet, right? I hope our first meeting will be entertaining…." Loki thought to himself with a smirk finding its way on his face.

After confirming the idea to leave Meteor city in the future, Machi and Loki both went to sleep. As for how to implement this idea? That's a topic to figure out later.
Machi and Loki were in tacit understanding to finish learning nen. Every moment of the following days was spent practicing nen, except for things like sleep and eating.
Uvogin and Nobunaga also did not bother Loki and Machi after the last conversation.
Maybe it was that the two were close to breaking a thousand stones in a day and wanted to give Loki a surprise.
Due to this, Loki spent the next three days wholly devoted to manipulating black light.
After assessing his current strength, Loki felt he shouldn't have any problem if he didn't provoke big-name people. His current power should be enough to deal with most low-level nen users.
While thinking to himself, Machi came up to look for him. Seeing her, Loki turned his head to see what she needed.
"It's Uvogin and Nobunaga. They had an accident…." Machi said with a serious face.
Loki stopped what he was doing and looked to Machi for more clarification.
"Uvogin is the main problem. Two days ago, he had a conflict with one of the elders' subordinates, which led to him being imprisoned along with Nobunaga, who was helping. I thought that you should know." Machi said.
"Could it be the elder I fought?" Loki thought to himself. Thinking of this, Loki clenched his fist before he focused on the conversation again.
"Things shouldn't be too bad considering how calm you are…." Loki said in a curious tone.
"You're right. Chrollo told us this information, so we found out early. He has connections with the elder who held Uvogin and thinks he can negotiate with the elder." Machi said while nodding.
Hearing this made Loki's lips lean upward.
"Chrollo should only be about thirteen years old, and he wants to negotiate with the elder of Meteor City? How utterly amusing…."
"It would seem that this world is truly dominated by strength… In the original, Gon and Killua, at only twelve years old, can talk as equals with big guys in the hunter association based on their strength." Loki thought to himself.
"If Chrollo is going to negotiate, is there anything we need to do?" Loki asked Machi.
"No. He only asked us to gather in the outer buffer zone and wait until the results of his negotiation with the elders come out." Machi said, shaking her head slightly.
"Is it just us going to be there?" Loki asked.
Machi thought for a while before answering:
"Pakunoda, Franklin, and Feitan should also be there… They are all people who I am familiar with. I can introduce you when we get there."
Hearing this, Loki nodded and began to gather some stuff. Looking at his small pile of goods, the broken mask once again attracted him. Loki seemingly made a quick decision and picked up the mask before he walked outside and began heading towards the meeting point with Machi.
"It seems I'll be meeting the starting members of the Phantom Troupe soon…." Loki thought while putting on his broken mask.
