Between the three remaining Gold-levelled Adventurers, unease was beginning to grow. The tower seemed unnaturally empty. Even the few monsters they came across were easily dealt with by their combined efforts.

On floor Eight.

They were taking turns to sleep while the other two would keep watch. Consisus slept much further away from the two of them. He slept by sitting and resting his back against the wall, sword in hand. Ruby and Maxxy were recovering their Mana while chatting.

"You're a part of Maigikn, right?" Maxxy began chatting. "How's it like over there?"

"It's alright," Ruby shrugged. "I mean, the people there are a little uptight, but what can you do, you know?"

Ruby made direct eye contact with Maxxy. "How about you? Are you a part of an organisation?"

"No, just an Adventurer."

"Could have mistaken you to be a part of Kruffswegen."
