Chapter 396: Self-Destruct?

The woman shut her eyes tight, her face twisting. 

No, this couldn't be happening. She had detonated herself along with her children. Tears began to gather at the corners of her eyes as guilt crashed over her. How could she have done such a thing?

"Wait... eyes?" The realization struck her suddenly. She snapped her eyes open, finding herself in the exact same location. She looked around frantically. Li Yao still had her pinned to the ground, and the children - they were still there, alive and breathing. 

A heavy sigh of relief escaped her lips. 

"Nothing happened," she thought to herself.

"But wait... if nothing happened, then..." Her gaze shifted to Li Yao. Had this girl somehow managed to stop her self-destruction? If she could prevent even that final desperate act, what hope did the White Tiger Clan have? She couldn't even sacrifice herself to save her people. It seemed her tribe was truly doomed.
