Hi everyone, After reading your comments, I decided to make another review. There seems to be a misunderstanding about the novel. Some readers feel wronged after expecting a story that's "against" cliches. Here's the thing, my story isn't actually against cliches, its about avoiding cliches, but you cant really avoid cliches if they don't happen now can you. There will be cliche scenes, its about how Xiang Yu handles them. Just felt I should clarify this.

We’ve been japed, the novel description says that this is a story about a cautious MC who wants to grow powerful while staying low profile by avoiding cliche situations. Unfortunately, that’s not true at all. The MC might have had that intention, but is unable to execute his wishes and the cliches play out the same as all the rest of the novels. I couldn’t finish the free chapters because it’s not the story I wanted but maybe it might for you.

I have read up to the paywall at ch 21. This is a really well written story about a dude who try’s to avoid all cliches that exist in cultivation novels because he accepts his role as a side character. I personally really like it and it reminds me of another favorite of mine, “cultivation nerd”.

Warning for the fellow readers : misleading synopsis. The 'survival rules' are broken from the first chapter. Within a few pages ( while he has barely any training whatsoever ) accepts the most cliche challenge to a fight while having at least a dozen ways to avoid it or postpone it . Just the "normal' type of reckless MC , we all know.Seems to be a decent novel otherwise, I dropped it the moment I understood the synopsis is a lie.

honestly, I'm out of words for this one. really enjoyable read, relatable characters, good stability, and consistency. and most important of all, NUMBERS GO UP correctly and the author is very engaging with readers if and when there is something of importance being said or similar. would definitely enjoy reading it again if I was lobotomized.

I wrote this at chapter 312. Initially I really liked this novel, the xp doubling with the skill thresholds sets a good pace, i also like the main character's personality and how he treats the world as a transmigrator. I just really can't stand the female love interest, she is just a walking cliche, which in small doses is ok. But now there are chapters after chapters focused on her and its so boring. There is absolutely no risks in her fights. Most of the time she is op and whenever there is the slightest bit of risk she or uses some item given by the mc or recieves out of nowhere some new transformation. Her personality also is super basic and child like (in talking about the main one and not her psycho child split personality). her main trait is "i like mc" with the sub-trait of "i will kill anything that threatens mc or my relationship with him", and that is literally her whole personality, absolutely nothing else matters to her, she is basically a villain. if she sees her sect (she is a sect leader) or her family as a threat to mc or their relationship she would immediately destroy them without remorse. Tldr. I liked this novel. female love interest sucks. the recent chapters are all focused on her. i might still read the next chapters but its more likely that i will drop it. thanks.

Honestly, I find it disappointing. I really enjoyed the first 150, maybe even 200 chapters, but it's just getting annoying now. The storyline with Li Yao is so stupid that it's frustrating. At first, it was okay, even funny, but from chapter 200 onwards, it’s just too much. The author is overusing it. She's supposed to have the best comprehension and cultivation talent. Someone with such a high level of understanding can't be that dumb. Honestly, it’s just getting on my nerves. I’m really struggling to continue. I just finished chapter 245 and it's pure torture. I’m going to save up the free chapters and come back later, hoping things will have improved, because right now there's been zero character development. Oh, and now Xiang Yu’s cultivation talent has increased, but he’s still barely progressing in cultivation. I get that he’s working on his secondary professions, but damn, he has the strength of a Nascent Soul cultivator and he's still stuck in Foundation Establishment. That’s just ridiculous—especially considering he has dragon and phoenix blood, which should make him cultivate even faster. Anyway, a lot of things are making me disappointed with the current direction. But I’ll still give it a 4 out of 5 because I really enjoyed the beginning of the novel.

it's very interesting and i quite like the characters even with their limited numbers though i wonder how his system work with limits will it like go the usual path of other novels continously breaking through the limits of each technique until idk or will it go a more unqiue path of mastering many techniques then create his own before getting a spirital root

When this novel was published I read only 10- 15 and made early Judgment and dropped this but after 2 month time when I checked ranking and Review then I gave one more try and now I daily Read this novel good one ✍️

Genuinely great progression feel. Cultivation level grows slow in comparison to his other levels, but that makes it feel like compound interest grows even faster and makes for a nice mirror with the FMC.  Overall character building is quite strong, characters are likeable and interesting (and not all made of cardboard), and the MC, although sometimes a bit dull on priorities, tries and mostly succeeds in making the most of his exponential cheat.  Worldbuilding is a bit choppy at times with the hard cuts to different places to fill in the blanks, but it is still much better than the average cultivation novel (especially the OP MC ones).  All in all, a solid 7.5/10 for quality and a 9/10 for enjoyment, on the same enjoyment level as Top Tier Providence for me. If you read this author, keep up the great work.

This is the one of the best cultivation novel I have ever read . I read many cultivation novel and I also read 3 cultivation novel corresponding to this novel starting is not that good but progress of the story after 30-35 chapter is excellent

This story is just great, whilst the title might make this novel seem like an average Webnovel slop. This is an actual masterpiece, in my honest, HONEST opinion. This is the BEST, cultivation novel in Webnovel. (Might be a little glaze or me only reading fanfictions on here, but still, fight me if you disagree.)

Just binged this novel to the current chapter being 162 in like 3 days and I have to say, this has a lot of potential , I can tell it has similar vibes to top tier providence but definetly has its own unique identity. I definitely like the fact that there is only one female lead who by the way I love. The side characters are all very fleshed out despite there not being very many in this stage of the story which is fine. I may update this review in the future if it doesn’t live up the what I envision but overall I’m really for the first time in a while excited about a new novel on this app. Pretty much the only criticism I’d have is the fact that the pace is a bit slow, and not even really the pace of the story, that seems fine to me it’s more just his cultivation is quite slow despite the fact that the whole premise of the story is the double exp and exponential growth. The only suggestion I would make is maybe a few more short to medium time skips here and there which I can see the Author has already started to Introduce a little bit.
