Chapter 45: Chapter 44: Surrealistic Date

While Neuron was loading my things in his car, I received a call from the Chief.

While limping, I left Neuron for a moment to take the call.

"I didn't expect things to get out of hand." That was what he said as soon as I answered the call.

"The prince could be in danger. And I know, I'm not supposed to say this but, let's not involve the prince in this mess. If we have to hurt someone, that should be Mirando, and Mirando alone.

The other line went silent for a few seconds. And that made me anxious. Because it feels like the Chief is not agreeing with me.

"I'm already trying to resolve the situation. I initially just wanted to get His Majesty out of his palace at that particular moment for you to sneak inside his study."

"It's all over the news."

"I think some of the officials leaked the information. But this could be a good thing for us. His Majesty might end up postponing the abdication."

I nodded. The Chief is right.
