In just two minutes after Zoey handed him his phone, it starts ringing indicating that he received a notification to his social media account. Flooded by comments, likes, and shares. Nickel left dumbfounded of what Zoey did.
Nickel opened his phone to see what is happening, as he came across his profile, he saw that after a long time he had this account, it now has two posts on its profile.
Nickel Fuentes and Zoey Alcantara are now friends
Nickel Fuentes is in a relationship with Zoey Alcantara.
People connected to his account lost all their selves from what had happened to Nickel's profile.
Friend: The fuck! After living under your rock like Patrick Star, you just decided to be a human now? Congratulations DUDE!

Even Zoey's timeline burst from all the notifications she received. People kept on tagging him on Nickel's relationship status post that she had lost her count of how many congratulated them. But the most unexpected to happen was both of Zoey's parents and brother added him after they have seen the article.

Nickel lost his reasoning to live after he saw those three un-expecting friend requests from Zoey's immediate family. But it doesn't stop him from accepting them, they are still her family that he needs to know and acknowledge.
Zoey, who is sitting across him, giggles as she saw the struggles in his eyes and actions. She knew that her way of accepting him would eventually cause him panic and awkwardness towards the people that barely know both of them.
Nickel was occupied reading all the comments he received; he even accepted calls from some of his friends who saw his status. Some were complimenting how beautiful is his girlfriend and that maybe he saved the country on his past life to be this lucky.
Not later than after Nickel accepted the friend request of her parents and brother. Nickel received a message from her dad saying.

Nicanor Fuentes, we want to have a word for you. We are expecting to see you.
Mr. Alcantara, on Nickel's perspective, is not in his best mood, he thinks. Nickel thought that he somehow disrespected the elders from not courting their daughter in a conservative manner, like visiting them at their home. Know their parents and relatives first. Something like that.
He cannot blame Zoey because he first asked her and answered but Nickel thought that the timing is too awful on her parents' side.
Right away, Nickel replied to Mr. Alcantara's message.
Reply: Yes, Sir. And I'm sorry.
Mr. Alcantara sends him an emoji with arch brows. That makes his feeling even worst. Nickel, later on, saw the conversation to Zoey to evaluate was is happening.
"I think we have a problem on our first day." Zoey smilingly looked at him who an opposite of what she is feeling. It makes her happy seeing him miserable from her actions, well not in a bad way, she thought.
"Can you repeat that again, our first day." Nickel's worry instantly swipes out just by her three words. It warms his heart knowing that at last after a long, long, long time of waiting he now actually got what he really love the most.
"Sink it in, Fuentes. Our first day!" Zoey gladly repeated her words with a big smile on her face. Although she grew up in a conservative family, Zoey doesn't believe that you need to have a long courtship to justify a couple's feelings. It is already 2019, people need to be open-minded and let go that worthless believes that we used to believe. It will not make the relationship meaningless for not having a long period of courtship time. As long as the feelings are mutual, let them be with themselves. And if they don't have the flame anymore in their hearts, break up it with them in a proper manner rather than cheating and hurting each other.
