Bakugo vs Ibara didn't last very long her vines were all blasted by Bakugo's explosion, she was overwhelmed.
Mina vs Yaoyorozu wasn't flashy as the previous two but it the competitors brawled in close combat with acid and created shields, with some in-between punches.
The match ended in Mina's victory.
Iida versus Izayoi also ended soon, Iida went all out from the get go, with his Over Drive skill.
Izayoi broke his momentum by side stepping and making him stumble with his feet.
Iida went straight flying in the wall.
Kirishima versus Tetsutetsu again ended in draw.
****A/N: Hey guys you can see the kirishima vs tetsutetsu as comedic element. First I wanted to go about Izayoi fighting with the lost opponents to match up but then this idea popped in my head and you guys have to deal with that.
Also Bakugo will be considered as top student as his scores from entrance exam is higher than Izayoi's technically.
Todoroki is a recommended student so he too is considered top contender. So don't go shouting like the top student should be Izayoi. The UA sports festival is held not even after 1 month of school beginning. The only scores that matter are of entrance exam.
The classes are all trainings and though grades are given it's not a evaluation criteria overall. Treat it like class texts or surprise tests. Mid sem, entrance, final exam are all that matters when we talk about overall.****

"Ladies and gentleman Buckle up, we're entering in the semi finals, and this is the first fight of semi finals"
"The top student of UA hero course Entrance Exam, Katsuki Bakugo with his explosion quirk versus The a recommended student of hero course, Shoto Todoroki with his half fire half ice quirk."

A big wave of ice formed in the arena
"The Gautlet's been thrown down!! Looks like Todoroki wants to avoid close combat with bakugo!!"
"Do we already have a winner!!"
But no one wanted to see the match concluded so soon between two of the bests.
Bakugo blocked the ice with his explosion and dig his way through the ice mould.
Todoroki ran to attack Bakugo when he saw the hole through his ice, but bakugo dodged the attack by jumping to the top and grab Todoroki by head and collar and summer sault-ed him.
Todoroki avoided the ring out by a wall of ice.
"So, I ain't good enough for that" Bakugo's face looked like if he could he would rip Todoroki at this instant.
The blasphemy to not go full power against him felt like he was being insulted.
There is only way to prove he was at the top and that would be to defeat everyone at their best.
But right now his opponent was insulting him.
"You will regret making a fool of me!!"
BOOM!
"I'll freaking kill you! I'm taking first to end all firsts! There's no point in winning against some half-assed punk!"
"Get the hell out of here!"
Bakugo began using his powers to propel himself in a circular motion like a tornado .

HOWITZER IMPACT
The collision caused a giant explosion, all the ice that was formed in the arena were shattered.
When the dust settled Bakugo was declared winner, Todoroki was out of bounds lying on ice chunks.
Bakugo was in disbelief, the attacks could've been avoided, maybe tackled with his power.
So why, his face contorted in more anger "BASTARD!!"

Mina versus Izayoi was lack luster campared to the first match of the semi finals, her acid didn't play any role.
Izayoi was faster, better at close combat, more powerful.
She was out of bounds before she even realized.
Kaminari versus Tetsutetsu ended in draw.

"Have they began?" A roughed up Kaminari entered the sitting area where rest of class 1-A were sitting.
His match again ended in draw, so his match against tetsutetsu will now be decided by arm wrestling.
"They are about to" Hagakure said
"Who do you think will win?" Kaminari asked

"Observe and learn now, we'll get them back later!" A serious Iida said with a stern expression when his phone rang.

A/N: You know the top student at this point of time is considered due to their marks at the entrance examination marks so Izayoi isn't top student of Class but top competitor of sports festival.
