Chapter 1: Ch-1: A Shin from [Naruto]
51 years since the founding of Konoha
July-12 [Tuesday] (6:55 in the evening)
The sky was tinted orange, and the sun was about to shine its last light of the day. The birds were flying to their nests, and the night market was about to open.
Just about 700 meters away from the Hokage building, there is a 4-storey white building covering 3 acres of land.
This is Konoha's Hospital. A department which was established by the second Hokage, Senju Tobirama, and was succeeded by his granddaughter Senju Tsunade.
Inside room-206, there stood a man with brown hair and blue eyes, looking at the woman lying in the hospital bed with distress in his eyes.
The woman's skin was a little pale, and her black hair was rough. This was due to her giving birth a few minutes ago.
The couple were waiting for the nurse, who was giving a vaccine to the baby. Although the man looked solemn, his heart was eagerly waiting to see the baby.
His wait was not long, as the nurse opened the door and bought a baby with black hair in her arms.
After handing over the baby to the father, the nurse checked the woman's condition and woke her up.
"Congratulations Sayuri, the boy is healthy and safe." The nurse congratulated them and continued, "So what will be his name?"
It might be because of her frequent visits to the hospital during pregnancy, the nurse and the woman had become good friends.
The woman took the baby in her arms and looked at the wrinkled face with loving eyes.
"He is Shin, Kojima Shin."
They had decided on the name a long time ago. If it was a girl, then she would be called Sakura, and if it was a boy, he would be called Shin.
And just like that, a legendary (religious) figure was born to a weapon polisher and a medical ninja.

A few months ago, the third kazekage of the hidden sand village had started his reign. To solidify his rule, he sent a few shinobi squads to the border of Konoha.
These few skirmishes between leaf and sand eventually lead to a war between two hidden villages.
Hatake Sakumo, the white fang of Konoha, was the one leading the regiment. Under his leadership, Konoha had an advantage in this war.
Due to this war, Hatake Sakumo was hailed as the Hero of Leaf.
In the same year, Namikaze Minato, the future fourth Hokage, graduated early at age of 10.
And at mid-September, the future sixth Hokage, Hatake Kakashi was born.
Also, at the end of December, Uchiha Sayuri left the Uchiha clan and married Kojima Hiroshi.

55 years since the founding of Konoha.
This summer, Kojima Shin turned 4 years old, and to celebrate his birthday, his father gifted him a tri-pointed kunai, thus acknowledging his dream to become a Shinobi.
Soon, Shin was admitted to the ninja academy as a freshman.
This year, the second Shinobi war ended in the victory of hidden leaf, and the shinobi which were fighting the war for three years finally returned to their home.
A welcome ceremony, led by the third Hokage, was prepared for the war heroes, and the entire village was decorated with flowers and posters.
All of the citizens of leaf came to witness the ceremony and welcome the legendary Sannins.
Kojima Shin stood on the shoulders of his father and looked at the incoming regiment with stars in his eyes.
"Father, who is the guy on the front?"
Kojima Shin looked at the white-haired Shinobi, who was in the leading position and was curious why the white-haired Shinobi was in front.
Hearing his son's question, Kojima Hiroshi answered,
"He is the Hero of Leaf. The legendary white fang, Hatake Sakumo. He is also the one whose ninja card you cherish."
"Wow. He looks so cool."
"Haha, but not as cool as your dad."
"Humph." Shin pouted but still agreed to this statement.
For him, His father was still the coolest person he knew.
"Hahaha"
In the laughter, the day ended.

56 years since the founding of Konoha.
Although the second Shinobi war ended a year ago, many hidden villages were still dissatisfied with the result, and soon launched a third Shinobi war.
Shinobi who returned to their homes were once again pushed to the frontlines to protect their home.
There is no peace in the ninja world, only wars.
This year, Kojima Shin was promoted to the elite class of the Ninja Academy and became classmates with characters from the original plot.

58 years since the founding of Konoha.
Today is the graduation day for the students of the elite class, and everybody was excited to officially become a Shinobi.
"Listen to my proclamation! I will become the Hokage, and the strongest Shinobi of Konoha."
Uchiha Obito, the loser of the elite class, stood at his desk and shouted.
"What a fool."
"Hahaha."
"At least one thing in your sentence came true. We all heard your proclamation. Hahaha"
Hearing Uchiha Obito's shout, the students of the elite class made fun of him.
Obito's face turned red in embarrassment when he saw them laughing. He regretted his impulsive behaviour.
"Hmph." Uchiha Obito ignored the laughter and quietly sat next to Nohara Rin.
"By the way, where is Shin-kun? Today is the day of graduation and he is still late."
A girl with red eyes spoke.
Hearing this, a boy sitting behind her replied, "I saw him when I was on my way to school, I thought he would be early than me."
The boy's name is Sarutobi Asuma, a good friend of Kojima Shin.
"Should we look for him?" A worried look appeared in the girl with red eyes.
"It's late, Yahiko sensei is already here." A boy named Ebisu interrupted their conversation.
...
A few minutes ago
Somewhere near the forest behind Hokage Rocks, Kojima Shin was sleeping peacefully on one of the trees in the forest.
It had become his habit to sleep on the tree after completing his daily training.
His Ninjutsu kit was placed beneath the tree, and his temporary pillow was placed below his head, as he slept.
*Creak*
It may be due to the fact that the tree was old and unmaintained, or that Kojima Shin had gained weight, the branch where Kojima Shin was sleeping made a creaking noise.
*Boom*
Unable to maintain equilibrium, the branch of the tree broke down, and Shin fell to the ground.
As the saying goes, "What fate wishes, the world fulfils."
Kojima Shin hit his head on the ground and fell into a coma.
...
In a mysterious grey foggy space.
"*Ouch* Where am I?"
Kojima Shin slowly woke up from dizziness and looked at his surroundings vigilantly.
Everything around him was covered in a grey fog, and the only thing visible to his sight was a hexagonal stone table carved with an unreadable pattern.
Around the table, there are three stone chairs with... comfortable cushions? Also, on each chair, there is number 1, 2, and 3, carved on the headrest.
Kojima Shin vigilantly looked at the only visible thing in the fog and remembered what he learned in the ninja school.
-flashback-
"Whenever you encounter an unknown and uncontrollable situation, remember these three rules of survival."
His chunin teacher, Yahiko sensei, said with a serious expression.
"Rule one," He wrote 1 on the board.
"Vigilance and Patience. Always be vigilant about the unknown, and be patient enough to grab opportunities in an uncontrollable situation."
"Rule two," He wrote 2 on the board.
"Gather information and look for a way out. Information is important for every Shinobi as it helps to control the situation, and always leave a way out for yourself and the information you gathered."
"Rule three," He wrote 3 on the board.
"Run. Remember that a good Shinobi is a loving Shinobi. Once you die, no matter what you want to be, who you are, or how much you are worth, everything will be useless when you die."
...
Remembering these rules, Shin first checked his body for any harmful substances.
'Why is my tri-pointed kunai with me?'
'Also, what is this strange place?'
Shin tried to look for a clue from his position, and then carefully checked if there are any tripwires or traps.
'Nothing else is visible except the grey fog and table.'
'Staying in the same place would be a smart decision, but going towards the source would be wiser.'
Shin closed his eyes for a moment and then walked towards the hexagonal table.
'The table looks old and expensive. It might be a product of the pre-warring states era.'
After looking for a while, Shin had not yet found any visible clue. Feeling impatient, he decides to sit on chair number '1'.
As he was about to sit, an electric current passed through his body, and in a shocked state, he flinched and distanced himself from the chair.
'What was that?!'
Shin vigilantly looked at the chairs and stared at them for a minute.
'What happens if I sit on another chair?'
Feeling courageous, Shin stepped forward and sat on chair number '3'
'It feels comfortable and... Relaxing?'
'So the shock is only valid for chair '1' or chair '2' is also same.'
As Shin was thinking, a ripple appeared in the grey space, followed by a voice.
"It seems there is a newcomer today. What a lucky day."
"Welcome to my realm, Shin."
