Chapter 124: We are having a baby!

When Jason opened his eyes, Elixir was staring at him while touching his hair like he was a little boy.

"Hey, Mama" he whispered weakly. He felt tired but he didn't want to close his eyes again. He wanted to see his family.

"Jason! Oh thank you Lord. Thank you, Jesus…oh my sweet boy…thank you Lord"

Elixir felt tears slip from her eyes as she kept praising God. She has never been particularly religious but she had prayed when he was still unconscious and she had made promises to God to spare her child and those were promises she intends to keep.

"How long was I unconscious for?" Jason asked her.

"Three days…you stopped breathing at least twice and you had to be resuscitated but you are alright now" Elixir wiped her face vigorously.

"Did you tell me you wished you hadn't adopted me, mom?" Jason asked her and winced from the pain.
