Chapter 1: Chapter 1: Awakening Byakugan
On a cloudy morning, inside the Hyuga Clan grounds, a child three years old was meditating under the trees of the garden. The flow of the wind seemed to follow his breaths as it circulated around him.
The tree leaves falling from above mysteriously hovered above him before sliding past towards the ground, none of them could touch his body. To the eyes of common people, this strange situation could only be explained by assuming it was an advanced form of Wind Release that required no hand seals.
But the Hyuga could see it clearly. This was all done through the use of chakra being properly expelled through very specific Tenketsus.
Stopping for a moment to catch his breath, Neji sighed.
"Six months... hm... in six months, that will happen, and then, my new father will die... what should I do?"
Ever since being reborn in this world, Neji's intrinsic advantage was not his Kekkei Genkai, the Byakugan, nor his talent, it was precisely his knowledge of the future and of certain things that could elevate his strength beyond the limits of normal people, maybe even possibly making him stronger than Naruto if he put enough effort into it.
But...
"Tsk, if I can't even alter the way things go in this world, how would I even be able to surpass that dumbass plot armor?" Neji's face contorted as he punched the tree in front of him, causing many leaves to fall.
Even starting training six months earlier than his peers didn't seem like it would be enough. His Byakugan had yet to awaken, and even though his chakra control was steadily improving towards the level of a graduate Genin, it would probably take more than just a year to achieve that level.
If only his natural chakra control was similar to Itachi's, he might have been able to use the chakra to naturally enhance his strength by many times like the Uchiha prodigy did during the Nine-Tails attack to destroy a massive boulder threatening to smash him, his mother, and his baby brother.
Being born in a noble clan meant easy access to tightly controlled scrolls like Chakra Control scrolls, and other such materials, if not for his father believing in Neji's ability to start earlier, he might have even been held back half a year like the original Neji probably was in canon.
"Neji, Neji!"
At this moment a group of kids came running towards him.
"Hm?" Stopping his training he turned around and smiled.
It was Sora, Toshio, and Hiroshi, they were all about the same age as Neji, but after training together with him and knowing his strength, they all started treating him like their elder brother.
"Big brother Neji-san, you have to help!"
"What is it? Why are you all so anxious?" Neji asked concerned.
Sora stepped forward, among the group his hair was the shortest. "Neji-san, some kid from the Uchiha have picked up a fight with our friends! We can't beat him because he has the Sharingan!"
Hearing this, Neji was shocked out of his wits and almost forgot to answer. How is that possible? What child could have awakened the Sharingan so early?!
From the shadows of a tree dozens of meters away, a man watched this exchange with interest. "How will you act?"
Gulping, Neji frowned and hesitated. As the son of Hyuga Hizashi, he represented the clan's branch house, so he had to be careful in how he conducted himself. However, it was undeniable that as this was a children's matter, the higher-ups wouldn't intervene too much.
Thinking of this, his eyes became firm. "Let's go!"
"Um!" The kids nodded and brought him to the park inside Konoha.
Unbeknownst to them, the man that had been observing Neji followed silently from afar.
The place was quite empty at this time of the year, due to classes being held every day around this hour, you mostly only find old people and civilians walking around.
In a playground, some kids of the Hyuga clan were lying weakly on the ground. In front of them, a single boy was smirking with disdain in his eyes.
Even from such a large distance, Neji could tell that he was probably about four to five years old, but he saw no signs of the fabled Sharingan. The four quickly approached and stopped him just as he was about to kick one of the kids in the stomach.
"Hey, you! We brought our big brother Neji, he will teach you a lesson!" Sora shouted in anger.
"Humph." The Uchiha snorted hearing that as he turned towards them. "Haha! Do you think a three-year-old kid will be able to defeat me? Only in your dreams!"
Neji didn't answer, rather, he observed the kid cautiously. One could not judge the people of this world as they would the people of Earth. Neji knew very well that even children possessed superhuman strength thanks to the influence of chakra aiding the way in which the body develops.
"So, are you going to fight or what? Don't continue to waste my time, now that I know how trashy the Hyuga are, I have no more interest in continuing this." The Uchiha smiled arrogantly.
"Humph! If it's a fight that you want, I'll give you one. But before that, state your name, Uchiha." Neji coldly replied as he waved his hands for the trio to distance themselves from him.
"I'm Uchiha Nobumi, son of Uchiha Yashiro!"
'Hmm, just some trash from the Uchiha clan... I can't even remember this Yashiro from the anime... Maybe he was a character in the novels?' Neji shook his head, it didn't matter. His training for the last six months wasn't for nothing, and he doubted that this nameless trash would be any challenge. Even the Sharingan the trio had told him about might be a sham.
"I see, don't worry then, I'll make sure to remember your name whenever I want to laugh about some trash from the Uchiha clan!"
"You! How dare you-" While Nobumi was busy throwing a tantrum, Neji smirked and stepped forward. The chakra flowing through his circulatory system naturally enhanced his physical attributes as he dashed forward at high speed.
Yashiro who was still cursing had no time to react as Neji struck his stomach with two chakra-charged fingers. This type of attack was based on Himawari's improvised attack against Naruto in the future.
When the needle-like burst of chakra leaves the finger and shoots forward piercing the abdomen, it disrupts the flow of the chakra natural cycle tied between the internal organs and the heart. The trick is not in closing the Tenketsus as the gentle fist does, the idea is simply to cause the highest possible damage with a single concentrated shot, while not as useful in the long run, this type of attack had the advantage of instantly breaking the flow of chakra of your target, the stronger might not even be able to stand up properly, while the weak and unprepared could end up fainting due to their own chakra wreaking havoc inside them.
Of course, it's only useful as a sneak attack. If the enemy is familiar with this technique, it's far too easy to stop it as the posture to successfully pull it off leaves one full of opening that could be exploited.
But this guy? It's too easy-

Neji was already thinking he won by the time Nobumi exploded in a cloud of white smoke.
"Not good!" Forcefully stopping his movements, he pushed his foot to reverse the direction of his dash and lashed to the left with the Gentle Fist.
"Tsk!" Nobumi clenched his teeth as he pushed himself back after failing to take down Neji in a single hit. "Hah, you actually have good reflexes, to think you would instantly react after dealing with my clone... not bad, you are actually slightly better than this bunch of trash I defeated."
Neji frowned and stepped back as he assumed the Gentle Fist posture properly this time.
While looking at each other. Neji didn't care to answer the clown. His attempt at angering him earlier was only to launch that surprise attack, in battle, one could never underestimate his opponents. Fortunately for Neji, he didn't put his guard down as he was wary of the other party's possible Sharingan.
The crowd of Hyuga children that watched by the side groaned in pain but still raised their hands and shouted in cheers.
"Big brother Neji-san, good luck!"
"We believe in you, big brother Neji!"
Hearing their cheers, Nobumi's face contorted and he snorted. "Bunch of trash! I'll let you know the difference between the Uchiha and the Hyuga."
At this moment, he started moving his hands.
Neji who was watching from some distance frowned as he recognized the first-hand seal. 'The Tiger? Does he want to use that?! Not on my watch!'
Nobumi's talent was undeniable, mastering the clone technique even before entering the academy was quite the achievement, but he was far too early to start using C-rank ninjutsu.
Based on his speed of weaving hand-seals, Neji knew fully well that he had enough time to disrupt him.
Still, anger took over his heart as he quickly approached Nobumi. To think that this child had the guts to use a C-rank Ninjutsu against a kid two years younger than him! He really didn't care if he killed someone, and that was unacceptable!
At this moment, Neji felt his chakra behave differently in the area between his eyebrows. It was like his chakra in that region had become incomparably pure and filled with a powerful vitality that it didn't possess before, this chakra naturally spread downwards and gathered in his eyes, making the veins around the temples bulge due to the strengthened blood flow.
Neji didn't have enough time to think about it, all he knew was that it was the best time to make use of it! "What is this?" Nobumi frowned looking at Neji's change in appearance as he quickly made the hand-seals he had practiced countless times under the assistance of Itachi and other Jonins of the Uchiha clan. Feeling a sense of danger he tried to hasten his weaving of seals, but it was too late.
Neji approached and put into practice what he had learned so far. The gentle fist which he had trained for six months finally had a chance to shine!
Knowing that his chakra couldn't keep this up for long, he went for the easiest Tenketsus to block!
In Neji's field of vision, it was like the world had disappeared only he and Nobumi existed, putting his foot forward right in front of his enemy's feet. He struck twice, each fist following a curved arc of its own, the first one hit the brain's left hemisphere, the second one hit the brain's right hemisphere.
The extremely fast attack was like two streaks of pale blue light in the eyes of the onlookers. Next, another two consecutive strikes as he circled Nobumi and struck his spinal cord in two different points.
Feeling his chakra about to deplete, Neji bit his lips and increased his pace even more, to the point his chakra-infused legs left a deep impression on the ground. Finally, he struck four consecutive times, the abdomen, the stomach, two inches below the stomach, and finally the heart as he dashed past Nobumi while launching him spinning into the air!
From afar, Hizashi who had been aware of everything and had been watching his son training for such a long time couldn't help but be astonished at this moment. Today, he had specially arranged for a genius of the Uchiha clan to face the children of the Hyuga in order to bait his own son into taking action.
His original goal was to see how he would fare against someone who wouldn't hold back when fighting against him, but never did he expect this to happen!
Wasn't this... a halved version of the Eight Trigrams Sixteen Palms? But how? Neji had learned about the Chakra Pathway System before but to apply the Gentle Fist so flawlessly on his first time using the Byakugan...
What he didn't know is that for the sake of quickly incapacitating Nobumi, Neji wasn't striking just any Tenketsu, in fact, he was copying the technique that the original Neji developed to counter users of the Eight Gates technique, such sequence was no less effective than the Eight Trigrams Sixteen Palms, and its effect would even be twice as strong compared to the Eight Trigrams Sixty Four Palms when facing someone like Guy or Lee.
Looking at his son, his eyes narrowed as he thought of his brother. Such talent is more than worthy of the patriarch position...
