Consider that for every wizard, there was like an army of muggles. They had a bunch of weapons, enough gold to siege a city, ammunition enough for a war, and their only goal was to hunt weirdos calling themselves mages. I don't think mages at that time had the ability to resist so many rats biting them.

Lorewise this is just the best result and not a restriction. People can even use their own hair or blood as a core when asking wandmakers to make a wand for them. If you don't remember, they can always pick up any wand on the steet and use it, just take a while to get used to them.
"Nan, I am not sure which one will be available but I guess my wand should be a combination of cherry wood with any of the core. Dragon heartstring or phoenix feather as the core would be a more powerful combination." I replied with a straight face.

To be honest, this superman has indeed a level of logic comparable to that of a toddler.

his power is 1, while they are at 20, if you see my note on chapter 3 you will understand, but basically, this difference is merely in numbers and doesn't represent real strength at this level. To put it plainly, the actual difference is at most 5 times in terms of lifting strength for example, while in terms of being able to take punches, there's almost no difference. So while Rayne can lift about 10 KG, they can lift about 50, just that this difference doesn't really translate to power. This is also a comedy-like situation though, if it was a one on one battle in even terms, naturally, the mc wouldn't win, but they are afraid of him because of a misunderstanding and think that he's much stronger than them, this makes them way too cautious and hesitant in acting, which allows him to exploit their weakness.

Lol, it can be, but... it will take a long, long time to reach that level, and even so, it won't be comparable to the real thing as it also gives a natural instinct towards attacking people too, this one is more of an automated reaction to various situations that are dangerous, similar to spider-sense but weaker as it can't 'predict' the future as the spider-sense does.
