Greg Landis' first outing for peaceful and quiet college life in Archibald's capital city spirals out of control after meeting the rather loud and outgoing Chihiro Magelhans and her calm but cunning caretaker Lento Hardwell. Moments later, a stranger in a suit attacks him and tries to steal his potential power. Luckily, Chihiro and Lento intervene at the right time before things escalate. It is then revealed that this incident was caused by Greg himself for not taking his potential training seriously during his childhood. Being an expert in potential powers and a former apprentice of Greg's father, Lento gladly offers Greg to train his potential further for his survival at the cost of sacrificing his productive college time. Greg decides to pursue his college life anyway, but his inability to hide his potential aura attracts more potential users on his way...
