Synopsis

Maximus Augilleris Steefan wakes up in a world he hardly recognizes. His appearance has changed a bit, as he looks older with blue-ringed eyes. He is met by two strangers and gets entangled with this worlds mystery, as he soon comes to know...this isn't some alternate fantasy world, but the one he is very familiar with, but much more dangerous than what it was before. The journey of the God without a destiny in this cruel world begins, as he and his Paradox Troupe aim to bring down the Children of Creation.

The opening chapters immediately pulled me into Maximus’s strange new reality. His transformation and those mysterious blue-ringed eyes give a sense of intrigue, while the sudden encounter with strangers sets up a bigger mystery. The world feels familiar yet dangerous, and the balance between action and suspense makes me curious to see how Maximus and his Paradox Troupe will face the Children of Creation.

Your novel has a really striking start Maximus waking with that star-dusted arm instantly feels mysterious and memorable, and it sets the tone for a world that’s clearly larger than what we see at first glance. By the time i got to chapter 11, I was hooked by the balance between intrigue and payoff, and you’ve built in plenty of atmosphere and questions that invite curiosity. Melissa and Lin already bring some good contrast to the cast, and with a bit more depth they could shine as much as Max himself. The worldbuilding hints at something vast and layered, which is exciting, and I think readers will enjoy how you reveal it piece by piece. Altogether, it feels like the kind of story where the hook is strong, the mystery keeps people turning pages, and the style has that immersive, cinematic quality that makes the journey enjoyable.
